Not really. Necromancers are all about raising corpses and pulling spirits back into their bodies… There’s no corpses to raise in the Shadowlands, and there’s no spirits to pull back, since once you die in the Shadowlands it’s permanent.

Uh. But I can already play a class that raises the dead, controls blood and bones, summons an army of skeletons, including skeleton mages. Can craft abominations out of flesh, and even bring my dead allies back to life…

So. Necromancers already exist.

I wouldn’t mind a Necro class that is similar to DK’s only clothy rang.

Necromancer is still my #1 desired class to be added. Could draw inspiration from the Diablo 2 Necromancer with things like Bone Spear, Bone Wall, and Poison Nova.

Add in Blood Magic and we could get the first “dark healer” in the game. They could look at the Scholar from FFXIV and make the Necromancer the first healer to have a pet that heals.

We know they’ll never bring back the pre-Legion, Metamorphosis Demo Warlock since that was removed to make Demon Hunters. So, I say take that playstyle and give it to the Necromancer - big, beefy undead minion and the Necro goes Lich-form for big numbers.

Necromancy as a fourth spec for Warlock or DK, renaming Unholy to Plague if it’s DK. As a DK theiy’d become a caster, and their sword a stat stick (sort of like Wrath HPal). Army of the Dead becomes more like Wild Imps than a raid CD, you have skellingtons all over the battlefield if you play it right.

How about the turbo casual class? Every button you press has a random chance to proc one of three things:

  1. Opens General forums and creates a post asking for something to be nerfed that isn’t even good.
  2. Gives you a “meaningful choice”
  3. Activates uwuspeak for 1 hour

Necromancers in Diablo rely on the spirit and time manipulation abilities of Traq’oul. This force doesn’t exist in WoW.

The force of “Death” is already wielded by Death Knights. They’ve got Ghouls, Aboms, Skeletons warriors and Mages, diseases, blood, bone, everything.

Blood Magic in WoW is very specific. But They’re basically just fire mages if we go off of Warcraft 3 rules.
If you play a Blood Elf Fire mage, you are, essentially, a Blood Mage.

This Already exists. It’s called Apocalypse. It’s a rotational ability for Unholy.

Furthermore there is just no reason why we can’t have new classes that are similar to other current classes. After all ALLIED RACES.

Necros are rang DK’s in clothe.

Shadow Benders are a hybrid class similar to Paladins.

Dark Rangers are dark rangers who are obviously similar to Hunters.

You can only switch to tank spec outside because your suit launches down from orbit. Yes pls
Also being able to jump out of your suit something like Warframe, at least to do an out of combat repair (heal)

So? Priest and Paladins are two “Light wielding” classes. And a Blood Elf Mage does NOT use Blood Magic. That is the magic of both the San’layn and the Blood Trolls.

Doesn’t matter how many times Death Knights are brought up, they are NOT proper, traditional Necromancers. They’re Blackguards who multi-classed Death-domain Cleric.
