maybe. since the artist may know what xalâs actual appearance is, maybe its a melding of the real xal, ,mixed with her helf shadowpriest visage. cause xals current appearance is not how xal actually looks
He was so thirsty for her!
I really hated how that it didnt get a proper conclusion.
Just one of the many ways things went wonky.
Why would you use a shield if you had one arm?
It would only throw you off balance you would be even easier to kill then without it.
Ah Iâm crazy about this cinematic. Great stuff.
According to in game:
Regarding her lost arm, Faerin reminds the Arathi head armorer Raen Dawncavalyr that she has learned since she was a child how to navigate life without a prosthetic, from sword fighting to dressing herself. Though, sheâs not opposed to an improved shock absorber on her shield.[3]
Apparently that shield is what she uses to own Nerubians in the face and she likes it more than a new arm. She lost that arm when she was a child.
Thank you!
Its just⌠thats not how that works. Its a nitpick I know its a game with magic and more bizarre things⌠but that isnât how a shield works. It would just get her killed. If she had to have something a hook or a blade while awful ideas would at least sorta make sense.
If weâre talking about practicality, warglaives and at least half the weapons in the game ranging from bows to greataxes would be too cumbersome to wield and would also result in many deaths in the process. Itâs best to just roll with it.
To be fair most characters in WoW have a complete disregard for how medieval weaponry works.
That is entirely fair⌠its just⌠ugh call it a personal nitpick
I mean.
Why not?
Of all the things in WoW, this is the one you think lacks some realism? The one that has some of the fewest holes in its logic?
Not all shields are designed to brunt against the forearm, you know this, right?
I mean⌠the shield has a brazier on it complete with flames. Pretty sure that shouldnât be a thing either.
But I donât see the difference between someone using a shield with an arm or without.
I do but the ones that are not are designed to be gripped. The issue is all the force would go right below her shoulder and she doesnât have an elbow. It would more or less pinwheel her.
I know, I know its a nitpick. Its arguably less absurd then 70% off all 2 handed swords in wow it just gets to me because of the hyper focus on it.
It has to do with where the force goes so it doesnât unbalance you
To be fair, itâs designed to clip into that metallic âjointâ in some way. It looks like sheâs got a lot of movement with it. And there may be more of her arm missing than just the bottom. So it may be missing all the way up to her shoulder and thatâs all just metal and parts that can absorb more and have more strength.
My favorite part is that she has a lance as a foot soldier and everyone is hung up on the shield.
