New cinematic trailer just dropped

Yeah, as somebody with an interest in historical weapons I do understand lol

The biggest thing is probably not having the full range of motion as you would with an arm.

A shield like that should cover almost all of your body when facing the opponent, and in that image it’s only covering about half of it.

She also wouldn’t be able to easily use it to deflect blows aimed at her right side(left side of the image), and trying to use that kind of polearm to parry anything is not gonna happen.

Idk, I wouldn’t even feel comfortable saying this for certain, because I don’t actually know how this thing is meant to connect to her. If it’s a full harness I can see it working fine, at least fine enough not to cause an aneurysm in its functionality.

There’s almost certainly a way to make this work IRL, if awkwardly.

How are these cinematics getting worse?

it looks ok. still not hyped for it. atleast i’m not dreading it, like i did with shadowlands when it was announced. also, that harronir gal? woo! not gonna lie, she makes me wanna roll a troll druid. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can sorta…kinda see that. If the metal is fused with her shoulder?

Would need a really complex brace to transfer force from her core to it… maybe…honestly would of preferred they went with some obvious magical artifact that made a barrier or something.

well good news is for most of the game, she just has you run quests for her. she joins the long line of quest givers who tell you to go fetch

The difference is between your arm taking the force of a hit and your body taking the force of a hit.

Awesome pic!

God the people in here saying Knaifu looks like a man now. Ya’ll ain’t ever seen a woman clearly

The underground troll lady was pretty. I’m always jelly how the CG team does magic with eyes. Those are some good eyes

Ngl, Xal does look like a man, not that there is anything wrong with it but yeah It didn’t look like a woman at first glance.

The harronir dance seems a bit overuse. Why does it feel like I’ve seen it way too many times already?

Not gonna lie, the shot with Faerin and the crusaders went pretty hard, only downside her lance was also not on fire.

Because you have seen that dance before in other media.

They’re claiming to be women. All I can think is they’ve never had the misfortune of seeing themselves straight on. It’s no one’s best angle.

Never from WoW obviously, but it has been used way too many times before, right?

Not that often… it reminds me of a lot of tiki torch fire dancers so its a little common but I wouldn’t say its overused.

It looks like she does, though. I think the way it slots onto her helps that.

Twist body, use magic, plant shield in front, polearm through the notched top sides. Just some options. You’d be amazed at what people can do sometimes when missing limbs.

Or her half elf self can diffuse that force with magic. One eye glows. Not sure if that’s Paladin or half elf or both.

Yeah idk, I can’t specifically say where but it gave me that vibe

as the light moves around her, the angles of her face change. one such moment makes her look a bit like a purple sire denathrius. its the lighting though cause a second later she looks like a female elf again

I remember it from an old simpsons episode with Lisa dancing… no reason why it was like… 2 decades ago. I can’t even remember why she was I think it was a trip episode?

There’s also the whole lighting thing going on with Knaifu. Ya’ll ever see make up tutorials? Some women are straight up shapeshifters that manipulate make up, angles and lighting. Its nutty. Respect. lol

Heck I ain’t even attracted to women and my brain is going “Damn all the women are pretty in this. Right on.”

Ah good someone else commented on the lighting wooshing around her head. I just made a comment about that
