So? Doesn’t make it any better, does it? The outrage that the mount back then would be removed was also pretty huge.
They comp the gold difference after a sale. This is trivial, gold is not real currency and they do not risk its integrity in-game due to this working both ways.
Bingo. Now you’re finally understanding it.
Gold isnt a real currency. You didnt buy or sell anything ingame.
Blizzard did.
They simply deleted one item and added a different one to someone else.
Its not even the same item in the code. Its a different item entirely.
You accuse me of not having good reading comprehension, but you failed to grasp the concept again.
You pay Blizzard real money to generate a ticket with your name on the AH.
That token is then sold exclusively to other players, who pay the current market price.
You get the gold amount you agreed to when you paid Blizzard.
End transmission. That’s how it works.
The what now?
No, they pay a future market price. Or nothing.
You get a guarantee from blizzard that you will get the current market price.
For example i just bought 6 tokens ingame for 1.209m.
But the sellers got 300k or more each.
They pay the market price for the token when they buy it with gold.
The person whose token it is gets the gold value of the token when that token went on the AH.
Blizzard does not give free gold for tokens.
At first I was annoyed because a big problem that arose during the pre launch event has yet to be resolved.
Completely irrelevant to the dino mount, I know.
Then I was annoyed because I thought $90 for a mount, no matter how cool was insane, but someone pointed out you could use in game gold via tokens to buy it.
Suddenly I wasn’t annoyed any more.
Well duh.
The token being sold on the market wasnt free.
Technically all gold earned ingame through actual ingame activities is free though.
Sure if you buy it for gold since you have it available on the side it’s w/e.
The problem is this is just a greedy cash grab for people with no self control, which sadly is a lot these days due to being financially illiterate and being indoctrinated that this kind of thing is “ok”.
Whether it’s $90 USD, $120 AUD or $132 CAD this is an entirely out of touch move by blizzard after the disrespectful ‘early start’ pricing for the expansion which wasn’t even in a ready state and littered with bugs which still haven’t been fixed which were reported during beta testing or shortly after release.
Talking from an Aussie’s PoV, $120 would get you a solid Steak and Pint at a certain pub chain four weeks in a row on a Tuesday night (~$30 each visit). From a gaming PoV, that’s also the cost of another 1.5-2 games (2 if on switch) which will give you a lot more entertainment.
The only acceptable way for this mount to be purchased is via gold that wasn’t bought via WoW tokens previously, that I can see from a consumer friendly aspect.
It’s also an unfortunate reality that a cash shop even exists let alone is that expensive in not only a game you need to sub to play, but also purchase additional expansions for every ~2 years.
4 games. Or 6 to 12 used ones.
Also inside sources say theres a huge sale on a year of wow for black friday /cyber week which will put the price of the mount greater than or equal to a whole year of wow.
Glad you finally agree Blizzard isn’t buying your tokens off the AH for you.
I’m going to bed, I’ll catch your borderline psychotic response tomorrow.
all the rare mounts are removed. Next you’ll be upset that the glad/CE/black AQ tank are removed and demand them be purchased for 10% of the work it took to get them? You must hate TOCG mounts…
the flag trolls literally raging so much the flag bombed the OP…lol…pathetic.
but it came with the anniversary stuff. Blizzard didnt sit down and decide to make a buggy patch…it just happened…the mount was coming regardless…so this is a pretty juvenile reaction that players are exhibiting if you ask me.
So what do they do, delay the release of an item that was designed to be released during the anniversary? I’ll give Blizzard one thing, they are getting faster at fixing bugs and applying account bans for those abusing some of them.
But delaying a release of something because of bugs, even if it’s seen as just a cash grab, would probably be worse in the eyes of the player. Just think about it, anniversary is over, they release a mount and have it on the store for 2 months only for no apparent reason VS having a mount released specifically to fall in line with the event.
the plus side here is its 10 bucks a week for 9 weeks so hopefully everyone who wants it can save that…skip a burger and fries, or some other non necessity, if they want to buy it.
Its a lot of change for a mount yeah…but if you ask me $25 is a LOT of frikkin money for a digital nothing mount, which is why I dont get them all that I like in the store.
$10 for a normal mount should be the capped price…then maybe $50 for something like this bruto since its got a lot of utility.
I’m literally out here doing the lord’s work and they are so upset on me just presenting the math on how this is a great thing for ppl and how to obtain it for CHEAP, and they are RAGING!!!
There’s a million ways to earn 1.2mil Easy in this game over 9 weeks… If that is too much then a limited time, BEST UTILITY MOUNT IN THE GAME is not something you are ENTITLED to…
exactly.
I just try to keep it in perspective.
Its 1/5 to 1/8 the price of the first bruto depending on the token price.
Its 10 bucks a week for the next 9 weeks if you want to save the cash for it…what…a small pizza a a decent pizza joint (Little ceasars is NOT real pizza, lmao)…a burger and fries with a small drink, etc.
If I wanted it that bad, Id give up 10 bucks of something every week till then if I needed to.
90 bucks is some change, for sure…but we all screamed for a cheaper AH mount…and now we have one…and we’re still screaming. lol
there is a small minority of juveniles around here who rage at everything and flag bomb anything they dont want to see. lol.
Theyve pretty much ruined this forum, as I imagine they ruin their own little world in real life with their rancid attitudes.
