If the writer is just pantsing things (i.e., “seat of your pants” writing), then yes, it is on the writer.
Just sayin’, but the story of WoW has had a very specific ebb and flow to it, up until a few years ago. Clues were there for those who looked, yes. But Shadowlands very specifically seems like something they pulled out of their behinds, and are now going, “bUt wE lEfT aLl tEh cLuEs!!!11111”, as a poor attempt of tying it all in to the WoW story from the beginning.
So your saying,it is bad to leave clues for the reader to pick up,but that would mean there should be any if all mysteries for those to read.That stories should be more in line with Dick and Jane ,stories in elementary schools. Omg.
This actually makes sense. Wasn’t it Pelagos with the PC when the faerie gave her existence to create the widget for the Kyrian thingy in Elysian Hall? (Sorry, the questline didn’t stick with me). He was really upset. Faerie was like “it’s all good”. It would make him mirror her sacrifice.
Try reading those books til the fourth grade ,you’ll want to head to the library and get every single book no matter what to read. It is sad people don’t have time to read a story but are more inrush to bad mouth a writer for making one up.
It’s shocking there are people trying to defend this with “but they left clues”. What if they leave some clues in Elwynn Forest that Hogger will be the new King of Stormwind, would that make it ok?
What if they had the forsworn judge souls since the current system is broken. They kept enough of their past life to possibly be an effective judge. From what we seen the Kyrian pluck souls at their death and can see the lives people have lead. Would it have been much of a stretch for them to send souls on their way to whatever realm they saw fit.
Seems like the drought is caused by the Kyrian being lazy since their sorting machine got broken. Kind of like the post office burning the mail or tossing it in the trash.
When I rescued souls for the weekly, nobody was picky about who I grabbed from the Maw but as long filled the quota.
why? The Arbiter is literally the receptionist for the Shadowlands, and it’s pretty evident that the Arbiter will play less of a role that she did in the past.

I honestly hate Pelagos. He’s a horribly written character. I honestly don’t even care if he’s trans, that’s not the point. The point is from day one I’ve been saying he’s a weenie and one I really want to punch…I enjoyed Bastion and learning it’s story but I hated every Pelagos story point. Really we should just really reboot the robot. She was doing fine.

look if we are to finally leave the ShadowLands they are going to need a Arbiter otherwise it will be chaos when the new spirits comes in.
the Arbite made it easy for them, but still now that they know better even with the new Arbiter the idea to give souls the options to explore more out there will now be open to them.
the Arbite will only drop them off where it will be better for them to start off.
