New Account Restrictions?!?!?! This can't be serious?

I was requested to post here, so posting a link to the thread I created regarding how I cannot access trade or AH as well. My account is 20 years old, and I’m getting account restriction. It’s dumb how I can’t purchase ANYTHING on the AH.

New Account Restriction... on a nearly 20 year old account

I decided to play this game again after many many years of hiatus for the 20th anniversary edition. So far I’m loving it, except the part I can’t trade or use the AH. Apparently the last time I played this game was so long ago, I get the same restriction as a new account. I agree that bots and spam should be stopped, but why am I being punished for subscribing WoW again? Seem stupid to me.
