New AB marks changes

Pve servers can still make premades, just start a group it doesnt have to be a heavyweight group. If other people on your server feel the same as you they would join up

Except sometimes you have a group of alliance with terrible gear vs a horde team decked out in full MC gear and a good chunk of BWL gear and get slaughtered. I’ve seen 6-7 horde wipe 15 alliance players with ease. Sometimes you also get alliance groups with 0 healers.

I’ve had 4 games today so far of 6 so far where we held 2 nodes consistently and flipped a 3rd a few times but lost it. These games lasted 25 to 30 mins and gave 3 marks for our loss and about 7k from HK’s so 15k total on average. All 5 cap game in that same time will give 5 to 6 marks (so 15k alone for marks) plus any HK’s that happen.

Doubling the resources (either tick rate or gains) will discourage 5 cap games unless we get completely stomped on.

Hardly ever can make them on Wild Growth Alliance as we prefer to solo queue.

If people want fair games, they should campaign for a ladder system, but this is just the nature of random BGs.

Well then you may lose more often than you win

reality is often disappointing, wish it wasn’t but is what it is.

Must be a sod community specific, as on 2019 classic, pve servers had plenty of competent premades

Classic PvP was never fair. Even on Classic Era.

The only way to make it realistically fair would be to add Dwarf Shamans and Tauren Paladins. Then maybe have a neck rune which swaps your racials out for those of another race.

It’s because prior to the phase 5 changes Premades and Solo Queues were seperate. Now they are back. Before you would have 15 vs 15 in AB that were either all Solo/Duo queues or all premades. Now its mixed.

yeah idk, i just wanted to not get farmed in the world when trying to do dungeons and stuff after how awful the open world was in classic. (my server was actually horde population dominant but ally owned the wbosses and pvp and thus all the farming spots)

So now i have to suffer by not being able to have fun pvp in sod p5

Yep, my point exactly. Ladders are designed to be fair, but not random battlegrounds

idk why they never did this

Except it would make one of the 2 modes irrelevant. What would the ladder give over the non-later random BG’s?

They still have time too

Im talking about adding an mmr to everyone character. You will be put with similar skilled and against similar skilled players so it doesnt matter if you solo or group.

Except Retails MMR system is absolutely horrible.

Retail has MMR for random battlegrounds? Either way, if people want fair games it must be done, otherwise no one can complain

No for rated. But the point is the MMR system is terrible in retail.

Or they can just make those who solo/duo queue face only groups that solo/duo queue…

Let the Premades face only the Premades.

Why is it terrible?

They already did that, and it sucked.

That entire conversation is over and needs to be thrown to the wolves.

Let’s use some critical thinking skills for a minute here:

Everyone just wants hph. If you have a solo only q and the games last forever because nobody is 5 capping then they will go back to the regular q after a few hours because losing instantly is better than full pug 25m games. Solo q will STILL have afkers, throwers and quitters. Nothing will change at all and the hph efficiency will be worse

But it doesn’t matter, separation of the q is always bad, was proven to be bad, and the players asking for it never played anyways. Time for a new suggestion

Ive won 10/10 in my alliance premades. And 7/12 on my solo ques so far. On a pve server. So def a better change for alliance. Makes it worth playing instead of throwing now.

If I had an ally acc to play I’d lead some premades on WG just because I like doing it

Now just revert back to premades only matching with premades and you’ll have decent battleground experience for all.

They already did that and it failed. Solo players didn’t play like they said they would

(Because it wasn’t about fun afterall)

They tried this, it was horrible and solos still didn’t queue.

Thinking it through and going through all of the reasons why the retail MMR is bad (soft locking your rating but that and others wouldn’t be a factor in a MMR system for Classic) the only issues that may come up are as follows:

  1. No one in your MMR range which would mean extremely long queue times. For example if Horde still have a 95% win rate their MMR could get to the point where they may have to wait an hour for a queue if it even pops at all. Meanwhile Alliance may never get queue pops because of their extremely low MMR and no horde left to queue.
  2. MMR manipulation can happen where players on the horde purposefully throw games to decrease their MMR to prevent them from facing the actual good alliance premades.
  3. More MMR manipulation where premades will have people with high MMR and the rest with low/no MMR to get weaker teams as MMR generally takes the average of all players MMR.
