Never used to care about raider IO

pretty much same. started playing path of exile after antorus and now just log in a few times per month to spam keys. nice to see one of the haven people still pwning in azeroth though. hope you’re all having fun

I simply pointed out that you’re fuming in a forum thread that brings little value to anyone and out of no where I’m a narcissist now? Just look at you, attacking anyone who dares threaten what a GOD player you are. Probably why you have to pug keys, no one wants to deal with a person like you for longer than a half hour. Anyway, I’m gonna ignore you now like the rest of the pugs do after the key ends since I’m certain I’ve lost brain cells talking to you. GL in life kiddo.

In more recent news, 3000 is now the IO required to join a +6 for this week.

You are in a guild.
You have guildies.
(People that are not pugs)
Theses people do not care about IO’s.

You should play with them!

tank died on first boss and everyone left party

This logic can be applied to anything in this game though.

Actually no.
Execution is always preferable to potentional.
If the dude with higher IO did more dgs and on time there is proof he can execute another run similarly. Someone whom did nothing of it, can’t.

I barely play this EXP but i can count in my fingers the amount of times i had issues with high IO players, whereas picking people with low scores was always miserable especially in high keys.

I have run into the same pain on this new rogue. Decline, decline, decline, from very low IO plebs, with very low IO mains linked.

It’s frustrating as hell getting over that initial hump, when you know you’ll be wrecking them in their +5 keys, lol.

But guess what? I’d still rather keep IO and suffer the 2 days of pain that it took to get ilvl up and a crappy enough score to start getting invites. Was 365ilvl 2 days ago, 445 now. Essence grind in this crappy xpac is another thing though…

That 2 days of pain is nothing compared to the abject misery of IO being deleted and then playing the lottery on every single person you ever invite to a key, ever. So i’ll take the pain on alts, thanks.

Push your own key. I eventually gave up and was forced to push the +2 ML I had. Then just keep doing something easy like 8’s (keep lowering it) to farm score.

You talk about me derailing the thread and your posting here why? I’m fuming. Great. Anything else?

What are you even talking about? You’re a narcisitic like a lot of the posters on these forums because you want to interject your opinion when it has nothing to do with the topic at hand… The very thing you’re trying to accuse me of. I’m not attacking anyone. Responding to accusations isn’t attacking. Strange concept for you I realize.

Ah, yes. Nothing says maturity like a response like that.

Mythics have a timer that cannot be reset. Pretty obvious consequence is RaiderIO. Blizzard GM’s and devs all use RaiderIO so you are literally screaming into a brick wall thinking this will ever change.

like 90% of the time I play with mages they are trash

Well Mr. OP, Raider IO provides a means in which consistant players with great social skills / personal connections can justify their imagined “greatness” while at the same time excluding a whole group of players that may or may not be bad but certianally do not have the time to give to the needed up-keep.

This creates a drug like feeling of being better then other people. This feeling is embraced and defended strongly. Those that complain about this system have all their troubles dismissed by a simple phrase of " make your own group".

Sadly IO will not go anywhere, It’s like IQ tests. Everyone can prove them wrong time and time again however is a good old addictive standby that people will continually run back too.

(Adam Ruins everything: IQ tests, Is a fun episode to explain this, also the after explination of how being told your wrong has equal brain responces as a litteral punch to the head.)

Actually it gives a numerical value to dungeon key experience, so that pugs can figure out who is the most experienced at a glance. But by all means, keep feeling personally attacked by a tool.

Stop crying. Run your own key.

Then after this tell me how many pages on the list want to join your key.

THERES TON OF PEOPLE ON DUNGEON FINDER. YOUR ILEVEL AND RAIDER IO IS NOT THE BEST. AND YOUR CLASS IS NOT ON THE META. THATS THE REASON THEY DIDNT INVITE YOU.

If you need addons to play, then you dont know how to play xD I could play just as well with or without the addons. Its called paying attention.

I have seen you before and you consistanly give the most one sided extreme answers I have ever seem. Are you capable of viewing issues from more then one perspective? Or giving a response that doesn’t insult the person your responding too?

I don’t feel attacked by a tool sir. I feel attacked by those who defend this flawed tool without question. The tool is flawed and encourages a lot of bad behavior by players and should be adjusted. NOT removed but adjusted slightly to keep the fundamental laws of human nature in mind.

lol ok

It’s not like the default ui is hideous or anything.

Oh, it is, but its not as bad as many other games.

I’m not giving a perspective. I’m giving the facts. Raider.io pulls information from the WoW armory and puts it in numerical form for ease of use in forming pugs. While some may act like it’s a big deal to like it makes them superior, anything can be used to do that. The vast majority of people use it for what it is: a way to quickly see someone’s experience in content to decide whether said person would be a good fit for the party they are forming.

Yes it is incredibly bad. Which is why I would quit. I prefer my ui look the way I want it to and have not played with default ui for over a decade. Breaking all addons just so people don’t get upset about their low rio scores is asinine.

If you value pure math you would not like raider IO so much. It’s drawing it’s math from those who upload too it. Which is not a consistant base measurement. It’s a fundamentally flawed experiment with a in-consistant baseline/base to compaire too. If you love science you would agree that the source of the numbers is just as important as the numbers themselves.

It’s like coming up with results using a flawed test and then holding others too it. You must always have a control. And in the case of raider IO the control is flawed.

Doesn’t really matter. It’s an easily understood tool for pugging. The math doesn’t matter as long as the end result’s meaning is understood.
