I can’t be alone. I still see references to it in character and guild names frequently. The video was never funny and it’s obviously staged. I don’t get it.

I raided and PvPed a lot in vanilla. It was easy back then because I had no responsibilities. Anyway, I get the joke. I still never found it funny.

We know it was staged. And to a vast majority of us, it was varying degrees of funny. You shouldn’t need the subjectiveness of humour explained to you.
