Never quit a role so fast lol

Nope, I got it.

As a tank of 19 years, if I quit every time some bozo forgot their role in a dungeon, I would have left WoW in 2006 and never looked back. Go back, and tank, but here is the secret:

  • Get on the same page with your healer, make sure they stick with you
  • If DPS pulls it, and doesn’t want to path it to you, they can tank it. If they die, they die. The healer is still with you.
  • Keep your steed on cooldown to move out of the bad, and try to save it only to hit the boss first and grab aggro

Never let someone who is too LAZY to tank, or heal, chase you out of a dungeon. From one Pally/Druid?Brewmaster/Blood DK tank to a potential tank. Own it and give them a show :yellow_heart:

I was gonna say that’s not how ADHD or autism spectrum disorders work

A 14 year old is like barely even a teen. But yeah, sure, not all teens are stupid, all teens definitely are inexperienced though.

Also I was definitely better at WoW when I was 20 vs when I was 15 lol. Not even up for debate.

I keep seeing this logic. Like “Oh just skip entry level stuff, I dunno why people who need to learn even bother with trying to learn!! Just go straight for Mythic gear to be more efficient!!!”

Why do I keep seeing this. It’s such bad logic.

lol that’s hilarious. It’s like oh ok you want to tank? I’ll switch to my DPS spec then :joy:

I don’t see the issue, you didn’t even need to tank? I would just swap to dps if it let you or enjoy the free carry. Its a pug random dungeon honestly what do you expect. Its always going to be a clown fiesta in there one way or another.

The weekly in TWW are giving random dungeon that are not in this seasons cycle so you are gonna get fully geared players in even a normal dungeon sometimes, its literally the easiest sip coffee and chill dungeon ever whats the big deal. If its such an issue you can create your own group with friends and guildies that play at your own pace.

I’m seeing a pattern:

“Just create guild and make friends bro”
Player contemplates this.
Player quits and plays something else.
WoW has no player base now.

Hmmm…

As long as you’re running and pulling you should be okay. Most groups are not like that. The scaling in timewalking is a bit weird and those people are simply inconsiderate for doing that. It’s not just to you, but the other two in your group as well. Paladin tank is very fun to learn and play, I hope you don’t give up on it because of two people.

Yes but you don’t need to hire or even pay the geese. Bet they’ll do it for free.

Blizzrad designed the game where this behavior is possible. And there are other design decisions that could make the group experience different.

io is one of if not the best metric you have as to whether someone knows what they’re doing
ilvl can be inflated from delves, which require no mechanical skill whatsoever. io and key completions if what more often than not determines if a person is a liability in your group

That might make sense if you were vetting them, but they were already in the dungeon.

Doesn’t do much when you still group with them.

Again, my point was using it as an insult in his post, it’s stupid and reeks of elite nerd.

yeah the mistake he made was not focusing on the io of the players he was inviting in the first place

If your not pulling every mob between bosses at once in heroics your doing it wrong.

Exactly, they’re not going to get far in M+ anyways, because the mobs will start one shotting them or they’ll get booted ASAP for causing wipes.

Best way to deal with it if the kick fails honestly lol.

There’s a lot of issues involving both the OP and the people in this thread. The biggest takeaway is this. If doing content which can be steamrolled will lead to frustration, then you should do content where steamrolling isn’t possible. The OP should find groups more around his level doing content which is beneficial to him beyond timewalking or something like that.

Everybody speeds through timewalking. We all know people speed through timewalking. There is no challenge. The OP expecting people to stop doing the norm because they elected to become a tank is nonsense. If the OP wants group content which is beneficial to them and will not have people running ahead, he should be jumping into lower keys and M0’s where there’s the actual moderate threat of danger / death.

You are a paladin, you have the horsey speed run thing, how are they getting ahead of you?

Though I will give you points, its usually people complaining about the tank running ahead and pulling the entire game universe. :sunglasses:

Play M+ where there is a point in tanking? TW and Heroics have always been a mess.

Im inclined to agree that if your healer can pull faster than you, then there is probably no point in you wasting everyones time by choosing tank role. Maybe you should dps, until you get a little more gear or something or learn the basics of tanking on a training dummy.

There’s your problem… Ignore the IO if it’s below 3,000… With how easy people can simply buy tokens and get an IO boost, it’s a meaningless metric to follow…
