But by your own admission you still enjoyed night elves after the retcon.
I am telling you that I would very, very much dislike this change and that it would effect my enjoyment of the lore of my favorite race.
You’re literally trying to argue with me about my own opinion.

No, I’m not arguing against your opinion. I just have a different one, and don’t see any weight in yours.
Likewise:
I heard this plenty from Night Elf fans who were against Night Elves being descended from Trolls.
And their opinions held no weight to me then any more than it does now.
Then there isn’t really anything to discuss. You, a night elf fan, don’t see an issue where as I, a troll fan, do.
The difference? This change would effect my favorite race. Not your favorite race.
And I am willing to bet that if you asked most troll posters here they’d agree with me that making the trolls titanforged would hurt troll lore more than help it.

And I am saying other Night Elf fans had similar sentiments as you do about being the original race on Azeroth.
And either those fans are no longer around, or they still like Night Elves any way.
Well I guess we’ll just let the people reading this discussion come to their own conclusions.
Honestly if they did retcon trolls into being titanforged that probably would be the straw that breaks this camel’s back. Zandalar and troll lore are the only things really keeping me attached to this IP. If they mess with it any more that’ll be the end of my interest.

Independent of this conversation, I’ve personally been ultra sick of the Titans being behind near everything in the universe. This is even less fitting when you take into account that Chronicles proves that Titans are not the end all and be all. They factually have equals. Yet Titans created near everything.
Trolls and Tauren were a nice break from that tedium.

Well if it’s any consolation I don’t think there will be much Titan involvement in the next expansion. I could be wrong but “Mortal Afterlife” doesn’t really strike me as their sphere of influence.

This pretty much. Filling the wow series with titan creations is so over done at this point and especially when such creations were mean to be war machines and yet Blizzard narrative bizarrely portrayes them as “heroic or incapable to do anything evil as their creators”
Besides this seem a passive-aggresive jab against trolls again
Welp, I just feel insulted. Arbiter sending my boys and girls to forget themselves and become blue humans? Well then, Arbiter. I think I won’t work with you how about that?

I still believe this is a bug from the random generator of npc from playable races. After all the small preview of the gameplay showed way less content than the WoD one(and that was a mess).
If this still happens in the Alpha, best chance is to point it out in the PTR(Also this goes against the main plot from the incoming book about Bwonsamdi, so this is likely to be heard)
To be fair, I’ll be happy to never see Zandalar again.
then sylvanas wins and your history is gone anyways
You came off as spiteful here imo. It reeks of attitude “I got shat on, so I don’t care if others are shat on and what happens to them”.
This is not how you gain sympathy for others to support your case.
I am personally against homogenisation and throwing everyone to same bag. I am advocating for more unique stuff for everyone.

If Arbiter still had the final say in the matter, why Bwonsamdi taking the souls as he pleased during entire BfA is a thing to begin with? How come he gets souls but others not especially when machine was broken since Legion.
Why is he the main target in the book if he isn’t such “exclusive” being?
What’s with the deal that after dying trolls are lead by the loa to their afterlife?
Retconned now?
So I’d like a proper explanation for it and how it actually works. Even if that chick was apostate of some sort I don’t know if that would immediately mean that she belongs in Bastion.

I really hope Bwonsamdi isn’t the next character to get retconned. I’m kind of scared to know what they’ll do with him, like making him the Arbiter’s ‘son’ of sorts
When have alliance and night elf fans gotten sympathy?
You’re assuming that I don’t have it for them. But I was adressing one particular forum poster, not widely unspecified mob.
It wouldn’t be a retcon they’d just be wrong
Somewhat often? Not always. Maybe not the majority of the time. But they absolutely do.

It is a retcon to Vol’Jin’s book and it makes hilarious plothole with BfA set up, where Bwon takes souls without any issues.
