Never have I cared less

So you think they would just leave major characters like Tyrande out of the summary if she or her people played a role in that book? I don’t know about that, seems very odd to me…
Would it really have been too much to ask to just mention the Night Elves in 1 sentence if they were actually in the book?

I did not speculate they would be major characters.

I was more refering to “major characters” as in the game, not in that specific book itself.

If they’re not major characters in the book, why would they be mentioned in the summery? However, like Cordressa Briarbow in Before the Storm, Night Elves can still end up involved.

Well the summary covered quite a bit, surely wouldn’t have hurt to include the Night Elves in like 1 sentence since they kind of are in the desperate need of closure.

Hopefully, even though the odds aren’t good it seems like.

Closure won’t come in this book. We already know either Sylvanas is not found or gets away and goes to Icecrown any way.

yea but we don’t even know if the Night Elves got their lands back, if they actually killed some horde scum, if the horde felt atleast a little regret for it or nothing at all and most importantly: What they did in 8.1 offscreen to describe that patch as the patch where “the Night Elves got their revenge”

closure was probably the wrong word, but we need a lot of questions answered

We also don’t know if in this book someone might not offhand mention the status of Ashenvale or not, which would not be necessary to add to the summery of the book at large.

possibly, but I’m not putting too much faith in that book since not only are there no Night Elves in the summary, but we also didn’t get any hints or anything to assume that they will be featured

No need to put faith in a book. Just also overly speculative to assume what is or isn’t in a book that hasn’t been published yet.

Till it was retconned by shadowlands now we know the arbiter decides who goes where in the shadowlands and from watching streams I know there’s trolls souls who got sent to bastion

Judging what blizzard has said how the afterlife works in the shadowlands every race was wrong about it

Obviously bwons as a realm and a role does the arbiter take into account the deals she might but I doubt he gets a say if she’s like I don’t care this soul belongs in bastion

That is true, but it’s based on overall desctiption of the plot on which characters will be primary included. And only more notable nelf character that was mentioned was Sira.
They could mention other nelf character or hide big nelf plot for surprised. But it’s nore likely that their role won’t take prime spotlight.

I thought that you simply mistook goblin with Sitting troll. After watching it further there is one indeed. That’s quite peculiar. I expected that if trolls wouldn’t end in “the Other Side” Maldraxxus would be other choice with their “Survival of the fittest” theme. Bastion just doesn’t fit them on both thematic and psychological way. Trolls aren’t this philantrophic beings. Maybe things will be changed down the road, or they derped big time.

You nake some good points, but it also opens quite some big plot holes besides just retcon. Sure it appears that Arbiter appears to be Bwon’s boss and it has a final say on where to send a soul, but I always assumed that all trolls go by default with their loa of choice. Either stright to Bwonsamdi or with Hi’reek who would guide the soul to the other side anyway.

As for plot hole - if Bwonsamdi’s grip via a deal wouldn’t be this binding then how come he worked around the machine and still received souls that he claimed personally, or were sent to him via trolls or player?

The thing was that machine was broken, and souls were not going where they meant to go sinve Legion. Each convenant was meant to loae and lore the anima, besides Bwonsamdi.

So I don’t really understand how is that supposed to work.

I provided a source. It doesn’t sound as if you are flexible enough to confront that some Trolls in life would have prioritized service to their own people.

I did confront it and elaborated on why I think it’s problematic. But we will see more once the game is released to properly address it.

You confuse being unflexible with someone who had concerns over yet another retcon but for story continuity. You don’t see me throwing tanturms or outright denying it. I just wonder how will they actually explain it once the expansion kicks in. As there already is a contradiction concerning Bwonsamdi’s deal.

I think your views of Trolls are too narrow, and you respond to the confrontation by refusing to acknowledge possibilities outside that narrow view, which is what I consider inflexible.

My views are based on reading lots of materials covering them. In and outside of game. I think I elaborated enough on why I found this case problematic. People are open to agree or disagree on it but it has it’s base. Unlike you coming with claims that trolls came out of titan constructs like Mother which is contradiction of what chronicles are stating.

I am not calling you out for whether or not anyone agrees or disagrees with you. I am calling you out on having claimed to be flexible, but not actually being so in refusing to see there are more possibilities than you thought there were.

As for Chronicle, there are benefits to it being an incomplete perspective on things from which information could have been omitted.

They are only able to reach the Fields becayse Odyn invites the player to participate in a hunt their on the “Night of the Wilds”. When they are ready to go the hunter speaks to a valkyr called the “Herald of Odyn” who then takes them to the fields of the eternal hunt.

I don’t see my concerns being a proof that I am not flexible, in the end I am open to see how things will go in Shadowlands, despite it being concerning as yet another retcon all in order to make sense of it. The bit you shown did it’s job and made me question how things in afterlife are actually working.

But this was not omitted. Trolls came from “primitive forms”, titan constructs are anything but a primitive forms.

Fair enough.

The Titans also did not mention Uldir or MOTHER or the Chamber of the Heart in Chroncile, and we saw in-game that the Titans did not disclose this knowledge to even Highkeeper Ra-Den.
