I remember grinding the rep out with my brother (I think during MOP) I’m almost positive it was on my hunter. He’s been my main for years if not him my Secondary which is my DK. I know over the years I’ve race changed and server hopped with both toons Idk if that could’ve messed with it during that time. I have the “Veridian Netherwing Drake” so I know I did it at some point on my account and I don’t think I deleted the toon so I’m at a loss.
Your armory indicates you became exalted with them on 1/12/2010. That may help you eliminate later characters form the list of possibilities.
At some point, you also must have logged in to the character after battle.net was implemented or else it wouldn’t have shown up as a battle.net account wide achievement.
Just out of curiosity, you only have one of the drakes. Can any of your characters purchase the others in Shat?
I don’t know if they can only be purchased by the character that earned the achievement, or by any character on an account that has the achievement.
On all my battle, net accounts, I just had the character run to Shat and buy the others as soon as they earned the achievement.
Well that’s awesome it’s flagging that I had done it, that at least further validates my claim lol.
I just went over now to Shatt with my hunter, Found Barthamus with all the different drakes around him, and tried to speak with him and talk to the drakes, and nothing.
Did some google-fu and found that Drake Dealer Hurlunk sells them in shadowmoon exalted rep with netherwing, I went over there and he was hostile.
I think the reason I never bought any other color was because I was probably broke or assumed I get around to grabbing them eventually lol.
No. It means that you are not on the character that earned the achievement as only that character will be able to purchase the other drakes. Also, only a character that went through the entire quest chain and earned the rep would have the Orcs there not be hostile.
edit: According to your hunters profile under the reputation tab, you haven’t even started the Netherwing to even get any rep at all.
That’s what’s bugging me out because I’m almost certain it was him, I’m starting to doubt my memory now xD. I see all the achievements showing I did it all but have no clue on who.
One of the Support Forum Agents may be able to look into it in the morning.
If it wasn’t a character who had never been part of a battle.net account it might have been lost but the fact that the achievement is showing up in the armory is a good sign.
If you had other battle.net accounts that the character may have been transferred to, the SFA may want to know that.
Not all achievements are handled the same way. As this appears to be a character level achievement, I wouldn’t expect it to be on this battle.net account if the character was transferred to a different one, but that might vary by the particular achievement.
The achievement you have lists the character who earned it as a number for me. That usually indicates that the character in question was transferred to another WoW license.
From what I can see, you had a level 54 Tauren Hunter on Dawnbringer on your main WoW license that you transferred to a WoW#1 license on this same Battle.net account back in 2009.
Then in 2012 it was transferred to another WoW license on a different Battle.net account, which I assume is in your son’s or father’s name, along with two other characters. It is currently sitting there, as a level 100 Tauren Hunter. That is the character that should have the ability to purchase additional Netherdrake mounts.
You will likely need to work on the reputation on your current active account.
thank you that makes complete sense, I split my main account between my sons. I took breaks in between xpacs. they must’ve been juggling my hunter over the years xD.
