Netherwing Drake Black Scales missing

Did you know? This is still broken

I got the drake from the quest and I’m missing the scales, so no correlation.
Also seems to be no difference if you earnt the achievement before it came out, or only earned it recently.
Some people just seem to be lucky and get the scales randomly mailed to them.
None of it makes any sense at all…

I cancelled my sub after this issue started and Blizzard deleted my posts about empowering CS staff as “trolling”. But I’ll keep checking this thread until folks say it’s fixed!

I definitely agree about empowering CS staff. There’s so few of them nowadays and they are virtually impotent (or so they would have us believe, at the very least) whereas I distinctly remember GMs in Vanilla were able to grant items that should have been rewarded but weren’t due to bugs, changing a mistakenly picked quest reward, etc.

There should obviously be checks and balances but having the CS team able to take a look at something and go "Obviously there’s a game bug occuring here, I’m going to flag it and get it double checked and once that is done we can manually assign the achievement/reward or account action or whatever.

It’s ridiculous that in roughly a dozen or so tickets that I’ve had to open in this expansion for bugged achievements, rewards, world quests etc only one of them was able to actually be fixed by the CS team and ironically that one wasn’t even a bug it was just changing my Recruit-a-Friend reward track from Legacy to Current.

Give the CS team a payrise, more staff and the power to actually help customers.

I would like to say that the GM staff is trying but I am not even certain they truly exist aside from the flavor text at the beginning and the end of the ticket message the last two “GMs” I’ve talked to copy pasted the same response. Either they have been told by execs that that is the only response they are allowed to give or its some automated process that doesn’t get anything done other than frustrate the player. Plus on top of that after having two tickets on the matter my support tab in game magically stopped working and wouldn’t load.

Isn’t the issue here that the vast majority of the GM department was caught up in the Microsoft “redundancy” layoffs?

It’s not a redundancy if you have no one doing the job, Microsoft…

Still haven’t gotten my black netherwing scales on any of my characters, nor is it showing up in the rostrum. All characters and their mailboxes have been thoroughly checked. I obtained my achievement on March 20, 2024. (3/20/2024)

I am still missing these as well. The hotfix didn’t help. Maybe tomorrow? I can only hope.

I think the issue is that, per the support article, gms cannot manually add Rostrum appearances

Season 4 has begun and still no onyx scales. I know they have a lot of things needing to roll out but this is something the community has been actively excited for ever since they added Netherwings to the dragonriding group. I got that achievement nearly a half a year ago and that kind of dedication has gone unrewarded for over a month. Womp Womp

I am so frustrated by this. Yet another reset and still no black scales :frowning: When will we get a response from Blizz as to what is happening?

They should at least be able to mail people the item to use to give them the appearance. They had no problem mailing people a replacement loot box for the bugged Timewalking quest, so I don’t see why this would be any different.

The devs need to fix the underlying issue and then approve ways that support is able to assist.

Many users have said they ended up receiving the appearance via in-game mail as well, so IDK why the GMs cant manually send us the appearance via in-game mail too after checking if we have the achievement or no.

See that would require effort, something they can’t really do with AI responses and a script the junior dev has been working on for 2 months.

Also, this is still broken.
