The new wave of free transfer is in and… no options for US East Alliance.
Benediction isn’t a destination server and the second highest Alliance US East server is… drum roll Netherwind with a population of under 500 active players.

Yep… they couldn’t just accept that megaservers are the only way forward now.
They killed all medium pop servers with the first wave of free transfers by allowing transfers to megarealm, now instead of letting the people left to rot on dying/dead servers go to those megaservers to have a playable experience, they run another stake through those servers trying to implement the solution that should have been done 6 months ago.
I thought we had reached the limit of nails a server could have on its coffin but they just keep finding more nails.

Yeah, paid to transfer a couple toons off of NW and was really hyped to get the rest of my roster back this morning when I heard we were getting free transfers away from Netherwind.
Really just want my characters back without paying an arm and a leg.
At this point benediction really needs to be added to the list, players have decided megaservers are the way after loosing faith in blizzard to keep realms playable.

I think special considerations should be made for Alliance because you guys have like two viable “PVP” servers at this point. Let the Bene transfers happen and open up the PVE servers too.
Horde transfers should be limited to Grobb so we can maintain at least one actual pvp realm in North America. But that level of nuance seems to be above Blizzard’s understanding of their own game

I don’t know what blizzard thought they were accomplishing here. This isn’t going to generate more paid transfers to realms that are actually playable…this is going to cause a lot of people to throw up their hands and just unsub. The people that are left on these servers were the ones unwilling or unable to leave, or alts that were left behind. No one on these servers is going to pay your transform ransom, blizzard. They just lost a lot of potential customers for their future products. I know I’m never buying a blizzard product again. Leave it to Blizzard to make a bad situation even worse.
