yeah guys we’re moving towards a futuristic society with no hatred or tribalism but I am going to self identify with my ethnicity and hate everyone who disagrees with me, and assume people are a certain way based on their skin color. Oh and I’m also going to just refer to people as large blanket groups like “right wingers”.

But yeah, the phone is the new TV. When I was growing up it was a joke that the TV was going to turn us into mindless zombies as well as give us a couch potato body. Too much time on any one thing is not great.

The corporate and governmental spheres have always been uncomfortably close in the United States, it’s not some new thing.
Partially artificial scarcity. Part of this inflation is engineered to make up for the increase in minimum wage. One of the places I worked for pre-covid, who actually closed down because of covid had to reduce it’s staff because of the increase in wages. I know people will have “the answer” they were told for inflation, and some of it is right, but also I read about how egg suppliers are making record profit! Who would have thunk, it’s hard to combat inflation when you have a compulsive bunch of consumers.
Also the increase in gas prices, which have come down in my state NY, increased because of speculation lol, not because of any actual shortages.
It didn’t help, no, but Hobby Lobby doesn’t actually purchase anything, it’s just Hobby Lobby’s funds, legally. An individual, or in rare cases an individual and collaborators, has to move that money.
Sorry the truth hurts.
