Starfire is now an AOE spell with 50% splash damage with 10 yards of the target.

Nobody is realistically asking to nerf Balance Druids.
People are asking to nerf Starsurge.
I believe everyone would be fine with beefing up the rest of their toolkit to balance the damage loss in raid.
Make Starfire super strong or something. Starfire can be the hardest hitting spell in the game and it wouldn’t just brick PvP like Starsurge does.

imp wrath and imp starfire would shave off 1 second off that so it’d still be almost instant and people would still cry for sure.
Easy fix. Same DPS in PvE since an instant cast has a 1.5s global anyways
Just lower the damage of starsurge and give Starfire and Wrath an AoE effect…or one or the other etc.
They’d need to make it buff starfire and dots maybe. Just kinda peeping at the logs for druids they are mostly spamming wrath and starsurge. With dots and starfire in some cases doing like three times less damage overall on fights compared to wrath and starsurge.

It’s really not hard: Make Starsurge, Starfire, and Moonfire apply a stacking Arcane damage debuff to the target - heck, make it raid-wide, give some love to the mages out there, they could use it - let it stack a LOT and so on longer fights Starsurge is going to start hitting like a truck - OR just have the debuff only affect your Starsurge and have it be huge - something like, +20% starsurge damage per stack, stacks 5 times
And in PvP, it will, of course, not do very much because you would need 30 seconds to ramp up, but in PvE it would be fine

Starfire is SUPPOSED to be their hardest hitting spell given how slow it is and how it’s a big laser beam from space - why blizzard thought giving them starsurge in a game like classic would work is just… frustrating!! They need to get serious!

Hunters got 15 nerfs and zero compensation for the damage loss phase 1. Druids, shadow priests, and ele shamans deserve the same treatment.
That’s not true, when they fixed scorpid poison other pets got big buffs through abilities scaling.
Explo and chimaera became irrelevant after the day 2 gut though.
you should not be playing druid for big nukes, nothing should hit hard on druid they are designed more like a dot caster
Solution is super easy. Make it a 3.5 sec cast matching the spell coefficient rate it has.
