Nerfing Hpal the wrong way

I warned you Bliz, now everyone will be forced to play TYR’s because you nerfed overall healing when you should have just Nerfed Tyr’s into the ground.

Ok.

  1. We where already taking Tyr’s to begin with, none of that forced bull.

  2. Tyr’s got nerfed more heavily then the rest of the healing toolkit, if anything there’s more reason to not take it if you really care.

The bonus healing to HS, FOL, and HL is what really makes TYR’s shine. Now we definitely need that bonus to keep up. Should have nerfed TYR’s healing and then decreased it’s bonus to healing then left everything else.

So I guess you’re referring to:
Holy

  • All healing decreased by 8%.
  • All damage decreased by 12%.
  • Tyr’s Deliverance healing decreased by 15%.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out in practice.

Nerfing all damage and healing is going to really hurt the spec no one is playing ……Avenging Crusader. I’m sure

You mean the spell thats been nerfed by over 20%.

Also the only thing that piss me off a bit its the dmg. I like doing 7M on the raid boss

Why I’ve been saying it should be based off Int(plus other stats) so it doesn’t get changed when they nerf damage at least.

Wish this would have been the case.

Blizz is never logical with their nerfs though. They see someone overperforming and they have to go back to bottom of the list.

Which specs should be on the bottom of the list?

love the name shadows

Once again instead of making smart calculated nerfs Blizzard just grabbed the hammer and started smashing.

We didn’t need an overall healing nerf, some of our healing spells are currently doing to LITTLE healing while others are healing to much.

The damage nerf is also to extreme.

Just when i started to have faith in Blizzard again…

Was there even enough time to see this through? I was replied to saying theres an overwhelming consensus that Tyrs needed to be nerfed. Yet, when I look at the pally forum posts, it’s all pallies asking questions if the new Tyrs is viable since the patch. We haven’t even had time to let all players soak this in.

I’m confident the people adding to this post haven’t tried the new changes because they would be calling for a daybreak nerf. Calling for a Tyrs nerf changes the class playstyle, which, I’m assuming someone is spamming their alt personas trying to generate a consensus because they don’t want to use it. If anyone who’s anyone goes into a raid and hits Daybreak, they’ll understand why that specific talent needs a nerf. Tyr’s isn’t even at the top of the parses.

This is a panic button push to bring pally down because daybreak is new and was more expensive to implement. I would’ve gladly accepted a 10-20% overall healing nerf. What I don’t understand is a nerf to a top tier talent that wasn’t being used to begin with.

Also the damage and heal nerf is a double NERF to AC which is already not in a good place.

Terrible and poorly thought out nerfs. The issue is tyrs that is really it. Nerf tyrs heal buff so that you have to heal instead of dps …

The incoming nerfs are basically just ensuring all alternative builds are unviable.

Tyrs is the issue due to the buff to healing not necessarily the heal itself. The heal from tyrs is pretty balanced tbh. Yes daybreak is doing deeps but that is mainly because tyrs carries so hard you can pretty much dps non stop

Totally. I guess blizz has doubled down on the decision that AC is garbage and not to be played. Sad times. Hopefully they see the error in their NERF and buff AC heal%. I won’t hold my breath though.

Sadly, this is the case. The same with Virtue. Both abilities were nerfed to the point of not being competitive anymore (and a good portion of the hpal community is fine with AC being dead). I still miss Virtue lol

Sure, Hpal could have gotten better nerfs by fine tuning, Tyr’s was too strong in both HPS and extension, Shining righteous was too strong, Daybreak and triple HS too, greater judgement, etc etc but I understand they needed to close the gap between healers as quick as possible, since it was too big of a difference and paladins were just playing another game different than the rest of the healers.

The flat % NERF basically buffed tyrs relative to all other talent choices as far as healing goes; since the heal buff from tyrs is unchanged the only difference to holy will be a few holy shocks that go to heal instead of dps. Hpally will hardly notice the HPS difference and still be top in m+. Pretty nuts how poorly implemented the nerfs are tbh.

I still don’t understand why you’re upset, we’re still using Tyr’s the same way and for the same reasons, it’s just no going to be a massive portion of our healing output in the average pull. Nothing that’s happening is changing how the class currently plays.

It does not, it nerfs it… The heal buff is nerfed indirectly too because the healing spells that are getting “buffed” by Tyr’s are getting nerfed by 8% themselves…

So all of our heals are 8% weaker, even when buffed by Tyr’s they are still 8% weaker than they would have been before the nerf… But Tyr’s healing itself is nerfed even more, making the relative power of the talent with respect to our other heals weaker.

This is just proof that blizzard is listening to the minority of screaming crying babies Hpaly is still not the top healer… sure they needed a bit of work but of course blizzard messes up yet again smh
