Nerf Orc Before Cross-faction PvP

I demand my Blood Elf pre-nerf mana burn and aoe silence.

Yea, they add a lack of diversity. I think the racials used to be important from that standpoint, but who even knows (I’m exaggerating of course) the racials of the races outside of human, nightelf, undead, and orc?

I remember back when they refused to allow blood elf to be warriors because it would be too OP with the racial in WotLK. When they start allowing orcs to be priests, everybody and their momma will switch to that.

They could inhibit the use of racials in rated pvp maybe…

to those saying orcs don’t need nerfs, than why are you orc?

If you adjust racial percentage with faction percentage, Human and Orc are equally dominant. This AWC season has seen a higher number of Human racials than Orc racials on TR.

So my answer would be, because Shamans can’t be Humans.

There are a lot of good Alliance racials lol. The game as a whole is Horde and Orc is easily the best Horde racial. Use your brains and stop listening to Xaryu hot takes.

i just can’t believe that people would actually argue orc isn’t as strong as it is. hardiness reduces stuns which is the only way you get kills in arenas. very rarely does anything die outside of a stun/cc. can it work? obviously it can but it makes things so much harder and your ability to play matters so much more.

but take into account something like height and weight in professional boxing. if 2 fighters are equally skilled, the one who is bigger will often win. in this case orc gives you a height and weight advantage (metaphorically, but if you play a bald gnome than its actually literally) over many of the different races.

often times you hear from anyone whos been playing the game a long time and has a decent amount of knowledge that if you can go orc, go orc. and the metrics show that to be true.

Human is just as good as Orc and Nelf is on par with both imo. Every other racial is below these in strength usually, but can be really good/as good still depending on the actual racial/spec interaction (for example Lightforged Draenei interaction with Prot Pal in BfA). People are way too hung up on Orc just because they look at graphs and freak out without thinking logically about the situation.

People aren’t arguing that Orcs aren’t good. We’re saying the numbers are skewed because 80% of us are Horde and that Human/Nelf are also extremely good. AWC stats back this up with half if not more teams are opting to play Alliance.

well graphs are just an indicator of something. but it doesn’t change the fact that orc racial is strong, and its the strongest by far because it reduces the amount of time you spend in a stun and they have another racial that gives you a bonus to your attack power or int.

human racial is on cooldown with trinket, and it only gets rid of stuns. if we’re going to compare human and orc there is no comparison other than if you’re going to play alliance play human. but thats why everyone is horde.

i mean you’re telling me human is just as good or nelf without explaining why and its just not very convincing.

i only just started playing so correct me if i’m wrong but there was a huge shift in faction population when human racial got nerfed?

When cross-faction is available for AWC, it’s likely that there will be an orc on 100% of the teams. But probably an uptick on night elf and human as well if you can mix and match.

All that to say… Buff blood elf

Humans play rele trinket though so have 20% reduced cc duration to everything plus can trinket out of stuns still and nelf can meld cc on themselves, damage, or use it to gain stealth. I mean it’s all really obvious why it’s strong and equal to orc. Nothing else really to say about it.

yes but youre trading a trinket that gets you out of all cc for a 3min trinket that just gets you of a stun. and humans have a diplomacy buff i guess? its just not a good comparison. nelf meld i think would be a better comparison because if used correctly you can meld storm bolts and other things (i’m not exactly sure what you can do with meld but i know it can be good) but even then orc hardiness isn’t on use. its a passive thats active the whole arena match.

The best players in the world who can pick any race to play in tournaments this patch are electing for Human more often than Orc. Nothing to argue there.

If anything, the racials aside from Orc/Human/Nelf could use some love.

When cross faction opens, the ideal comp will more often than not be mixed with Orc Shamans and Warriors, Nelf Druids and Rogues, etc.

Also at start of BFA when blood elfs got aoe dispel a huge part of the raid community changed to horde…since first raid had some mechanic that needed aoe dispel, and having 50% of the raid bring aoe dispel instead of jstu 1-2 healers made it all that easier.
