For the big damage and root, seeing as how ineffective Frostbolt is at damaging and slowing, but I was just musing that the three-second cast time removes GS as a viable option. (Even without the right talents, Blizzard and Frost Orb are pretty good at taking down the spawns. The issue for me is the hands and the twins.)
Thank you very much for the great advice! If I log in for another go, I will be ready to try some new strategies for both Shadow and Frost.
I know that Shadow is one of the more doable ones, but having tried the other ones (that are overtuned to the point of seeming bugged), I realize that this is just the tip of the iceberg if I want to get the mount or feat, and the problem with the MT is the decision to buff it overall at the last minute.
Pls unsub and never return, and if we end with 50% or less of the player base its gonna be fine, cuz eventually this game will stop giving spoiled players what they want, cuz they dont like challenges and feel like they can order the debs how the make their game just bacause u pay a sub. It is properly tunned, I have seen all of them done in this state , some are easier and some are very hard and its fine , it feels good to need a plan and even farm some old content gear to defeat this, its literally the only hard solo content u have on this game and u wanna make it a joke to? or an RNG fest like the rest of this game? if they nerf this , I will still play cuz I am not a spoiled brat like a lot of you guys seem to be on this chat.

Are you talking about PTR? What we have today on live servers is quite different.

I did 4 mage tower challenges today, in shadowlands gear, on top of doing 36/36 in legion. I looked at your armory and see that you are in FULL bis mage tower gear (3 socket pieces etc). I might suggest⊠âgit goodâ. Because its a bit embarrassing to complain about any challenge when its clear that you are just not playing your character correctly.

IDK if this a bait thread or what, but if you seriously think that crying for someone to just give you something you didnât earn or youâll quit is absurd and in no way constructive. If you actually want to complete the tower, record your play and post it here and I can give tips. This tuning is VERY similar to what it was day 1 of 8.2.
It makes me a sad Gnome that Blizzard keep making bad decisions which drive my fellow comrades away from the game. Making the world more empty.
I donât really care for the Mage Tower but i do care that players are leaving in droves and stuff ups like the Mage Tower (which many people were looking forward too) are a major let down.
For all the people saying just leave, remember there are many that think the same and the player base is already bleeding. The game feels more empty everyday. Be careful what you wish for. Less players = bad things for an mmo.
I say, Blizzard, please do better.

Resto shaman mage tower was really hard back in Legion when mage tower came out, it took me over 150 attempts

Seriously, the tuning is insane. For the healing challenge, I bet $1000 that not a single dev got passed the first stage. Wave 4 has 2 soldiers and the dmg is literally insane and unhealable.
Looking at a video then vs now, you can see the enemy abilities are doing like 5x the dmg to the NPCs you have to heal.
Blizz canât do anything right. Not going to keep bashing my head against a wall, going back to FFXIV.

I have already seen it done on Hpal, so that is possible.

Shadow one is hard but doable 
just have to do the mechanics. none of them are huge dps or gear checks and none of them require a timewalking set. does it help? sure. but doing the mechanics correctly helps a lot more. the mage tower wasnt meant for your average player it never was in the original and probably wont be now.
Yes please nerf it so I can complete on my level 1
This post wasnât meant to be about my skills as a player or my gear. I probably could have done the Shadow challenge if I had kept trying. (I have tried other challenges on other toons, and they are far worse than Shadow.)
The discussion that needs to happen is why Blizzard failed so miserably at implementing this feature, which was probably intended to revitalize the fan base, and what Blizzard is going to do to rectify the situation.
