My personal belief is that they did exactly that. They intentionally set the bar a bit above the mean in hopes that players would improve and shift the curve to the right by being challenged. I have observed quite a few people strolling around in both the challenge sets and the fel bear form. Those that don’t have the transmog may never attempted it, further watering it down.
It’s a shame they’ve done so little with them since Legion and I can’t understand why new forms aren’t obtainable more often. Just another instance of Blizzard making something well received by the community and then deciding to ignore it and not do it again.
It hasn’t been a personal crusade of mine but the shaman community at large has been begging for a revised ghost wolf/additional ghost forms. I think they are more time intensive than people realize, but they have had years to get started on it!
Okay so I got mine done on day 2 but even then I had these same issues. There were some attempts where the eyes were in pillars and I couldn’t tab target them and it kept saying not LOS… Also are the orbs intended to despawn? I would save a ton of my orbs for 2nd phase with Kruul but they would continuously just despawn without being touched. It didn’t happen on all attempts.
My friend is a main Guardián Druid and he got it after 300+ attemps he is a relative New player Just started in Last patch of BFA, I got mine after 109 tries with my druid alt that I almost never touch, we both had a rough time but experience made me achieve it faster than him, that is all patience and learning the fight as many times as you need.
i took a break after trying to get the fel werebear for like 2 or 3 hours because I saw videos of people just having such an easy time with it using a different strat than me.
I came back tonight, relearned my bfa herbalism skills, made some flasks and unbridled fury potions, and got kruul down in less than an hour.
I was a little different than what I saw and read from others:
start with cyclotronic blast tinket.
use heart of the wild and pop potion during the gcd from it
start blasting him with everything,
pop my seed trinket on the first horrors, promptly forget to ever use it again.
get a nicely timed kruul phase start as horrors die, get in a good position, pop cds and drums, use orbs to heal as needed
I died before the 4th annihilate, but kruul only had 0.3% health left, NPCs finished him off for me. It wasn’t even a clean pull cause I was always forgetting my seed trinket but I did use cyclotronic blast on kruul as well.
All in all it was so easy once I actually farmed the unbridled fury potions and decided to just go all in on varris. All done in less than 60 minutes.
It took him 12 + hours of gameplay loads of wipes and he is an exceptional player becoz cmon r u gonna deny that he isnt . If he did it do not at all means everyone can do it
