It blows my mind that with the amount of posts regarding this issue and still nothing has been even mentioned about it yet, does blizzard thoroughly enjoy ruining all of their games?
This AV meta is becoming worse every single week, horde cant even queue into an AV without facing a premade full of rank 11/12s that win in 6 minutes anymore. Not only that but horde now have to go out and world pvp again continuing the imbalance of alliance/horde ratio. Nerf AV bonus honor and buff WSG bonus honor, this will make only the top premades stand out AND its fair for both alliance and horde.
Your game is dying, my brother quit, each week more and more of my guildies quit, I am on the brink of quitting. Fix the game already.
Hey man, I am with you on this 100%. I think they want people to quit so they can all flock back to retail. They don’t want to admit that people quit retail to play classic because they hate the PvP in retail.
I feel like they have the mentality right now of “hey we told you guys you didn’t want this” when in fact they are the ones ruining everything about it.
Theres a thing called keeping the integrity of their game. If you don’t see the direction in which this game is heading you must be blind. Phase 2 was a complete joke due to the overpopulation of the servers. Most of the top standing players on my server were corpse camping alliance in BRM tagging people with instants like flameblast.
People expected the AV meta when it was announced, but no one expected the abuse of the alliance/horde ratio currently by joining a discord that automatically puts you into a premade, which isn’t even intended because you can’t group queue AV.
The hate train basically is what you saying, all a board. The players adapted , Blizzard can make changes sure but then we have the argument about you know what. What do you want them to do? , maybe stop being so angry and make a solid argument but like i said, people . . . . .
Yes, it always did.
But to be totally fair, what it did not always do, was go fast and easy.
Initially it was hard, mega hard, as in 3 days in same AV and no one has won yet hard.
They nerfed it down a chip here, a slice there until it reached the one we have here.
Just prior to BC launching, yea people were spam zerging the hell out of AV, crossrealm even by then.
6months before this was changed i believe or am i wrong? Im not saying they shouldnt have gone with this version , the expectations from the playerbase on classic is a joke.
I wanted server only BGS but with 1.12 patch i knew it wasnt going to happen
Myself, i thought more would like it as it initially was, but then i had come from EQ1 where lots of things were of of the “How can we make this stupidly hard” genre.
It was not terribly popular over all, you actually began to know all the names in AV on both sides, because it was the same people queuing for it.
WSG was the popular one, it did not take all day (or all week end)
I get that they had to change it because it just was not liked enough, but i wish it could have kept a little hardness to it.
You do realize that this is a player-made problem? Blizzard designed the game to operate in certain ways. Players find “workarounds,” post them online, then folks who are unwilling to think for themselves insist on copying.
The “Meta” isn’t the way it’s supposed to be played. If folks would simply enter BGs for the sake of PvP, and not for “rep only” or “max honor per hour,” things would be a lot more fun.
The BG as is works fine. It’s the premade issue that’s making the game rough for both sides. As Alliance, you either premade or you lose HARD because you don’t get a team of more than 40 until 10+ minutes into the game. As Horde, you either face a premade and get steamrolled, or you face half an Alliance team and dominate over the course of 30 minutes or so.
Take away the numbered instance system for PvP, or make people get the coward debuff if they decline a queue when it pops. Problem solved.
Heres the deal, players have and always WILL find the best strat to particular mechanics of a game, even if its a hindrance to the game design. While I agree that its the players that have been ruining it, it is also the developers full responsibility to reconcile the situation. There have been 1000s of posts regarding this and have we heard anything from them about it?
Let me put it this way, if say players found a way to dupe items, should the developers not fix it?
