Nelf or Undead Rogue

No dungeon finder or meeting stone summons. Have to run to the instance

Is it fully instanced once inside or can someone still come gank the team?

It is fully instanced. Only those in your party will be in the same copy of the dungeon with you

Nelf has good base stats
Undead has wotf
So really it all depends on what you value more

Once you are 15, take the trek (or hope for a kind mage to get a portal to Stormwind. Min 20s tip if you can afford it will cover their reagent cost)

Once you get to Stormwind (grab the flightpath. You have to unlock them!) then head to Westfall and quest there.

Questing there will give you The Defias Brotherhood which eventually gives you the dungeon quest to kill Van Cleef.

Shows you all of the quests for the dungeon. 2 of them are outside (Collecting Memories and Oh brother. Most people prefer you make a different group for those as it can take time with drop %)

When Night Elf is an option, Night Elf is always the answer.

This is pretty much the best answer on here, though as for horde, if you just do not want an Undead for w/e reason, I would think an orc is an ok choice as well. At least in a rogue vs rogue match you have a chance to resist some of those stuns lol.

Honestly, just go based off of what you think looks better. Maybe based off of running/attacking animations.

Racials’ PvP/PvE impact is marginal at best and its usefulness will vary depending on what you’re wanting to do in game. As for playing horde or alliance, the differences are also marginal. You’ll be able to find raids on either faction, queue for battlegrounds (the 14 minute horde queue compared to instant alliance queues aren’t anything to complain about IMO), do world quests, and RP if you’re into that.

Unless you can tell us a little more of what you’d like to do with your rogue, I’m going to assume that it’ll just be a little of everything and for that I suggest just picking whatever race you want to look at for the days of /played time.

Join the Looking for Group chat. If remember correctly, left click chat tab. settings? world channels. click “Looking for Group” channel. I personally like it in it’s own tab. If so, right click Looking for Group in chat and click make own window.

press enter to chat then type /Looking For Group then press enter again and you will join the channel

That’s loads easier than the way I said.

As a human Warlock I really wanna say nelf so there isn’t as many undead rogues out there…Those things scare me

I’d probably pick dwarf rogue if I were gonna do Alliance. Stonedorm is that good.

Stoneform is good vs rogues, undead shadow priests, warrior, feral, or rogue bleeds.

Escape artist is good vs mages, hunters, and also any snare like frost shock, hamstring, or crippling poison.

Perception is good vs rogues and druids

Night elf passive is good vs rogues and ferals, but to a lesser degree.

Will of the forsaken is good vs priests, warlocks, and warriors.

Blood fury is good vs everything, and hardiness is good vs everything that stuns, mainly rogues and paladins.

Overall for pvp, I think if you want to play alliance go with gnome. If horde, go orc.

As others have said. Ultimately you should play the race you enjoy and identify with, because if you hate your characters look, you will lose interest eventually.

Undead def. Never rolled an UD rogue til classic. Can’t nail it down, but there’s something about them that’s just so much more fluid about an UD rogue (even if “the numbers” don’t reflect that, as that’s not the only factor that would affect that).

First toon I rolled back in Vanilla was a NE rogue and playing an UD rogue makes me wish I woulda sooner. I had a blast with NE rogue but UD feels more frenetic & very smooth (again this may just be me, but it’s just different and more fun somehow).

Edit: Ahh, just saw you chose. Enjoy! Either way, neither is a “bad” choice.

the real choices are human rogue if pve dps obsessed. Gnome rogue if ur a baller. Dwarf rogue if u really love dueling other rogues

And the only choice on horde is orc. Period. IDC if you only pve. Not being an orc rogue is just insanity.

Really any time you can be orc be orc. Stuns are everywhere just trust me

Yeah Orc rogues are def underrated. Too bad classic rogues cannot use axes.

Alliance - Gnome, this racial is VERY VERY good. You can remove just about every snare ingame, even hunter con shot

Horde - Orc, hands down the best racial ingame… 25% resists to stuns… some and most classes have to spend 5 talent points to get 15%

Rogue = human.

By far best rogue race. In AB you pop racial and kill the rogues guarding the flag.

I just saw your post morganosh, funny you mentioned how they “feel” different.

Short story…as i chose nelf, i was at menithil harbor, i saw dead bodies everywhere and someone asked what happened here. Another responded rogue was stealthed on boat and got us all😂. I thought man thatd be awesome to do, esp do that to a streamer lol.

Shortly after ive had multiple guild invited, i joined then nobody not a single one wanted to help even answer my new player questions. One started kicking people randomly. After that i was doing a hard quest, 2 other randoms in the area would not wana group to finish it faster and help each other out.

So it seems alliance players atleast on faerlina are total dorks lol.

Rolled undead rogue as a test on another server and immediately liked it. First thing i noticed was how fluid sinister strike was. Now contemplating on a full re roll on faerlina
