(Commentary): Firstly, nothing is final until it’s in the game and… well, as this shows, even then it might not be final. Secondly, Red Shirt Guy does, I believe, work for Blizzard in some capacity. I know he interned for them at one point, not sure if he was hired or not, but it’s well known he’s a credible source of information. He does his due diligence when it comes to sharing information.
I wouldn’t underestimate blizzard. Lately, they have been quite proficient at pissing everybody off haha. So, I wouldn’t be suprised if I see those lines being the finla version.
Exactly! The man is a legend among legends!
The entirety of the burning of Teldrassil had so many massive holes in it, I’m not surprised they wouldn’t want that sorry state of affairs to be something that new players are introduced to right off the bat.
Whole thing was a stupid fiasco that never should have happened.
“The text of quest #191943838292834948329829832948 is completely contradictory to the quest text of #102024932983. Blizzard should fix this travesty immediately”
But it did happen.
And…? I didn’t say it didn’t.
I said it was a narrative mess, with a ridiculous amount of plot holes, and I’m not surprised blizzard doesn’t want to lead in for new players to be first introduced to that as a whole mess.
Going through BFA zones you’ll still see it.
Why do they have to literally announce what happens at the intro scenes? Those intro scenes are already bloody short and aren’t really able to give more then very minor broad bits of information on the race you’ve chosen anyways.
You want them to waste more time mentioning a massive narrative sinkhole?
that wasn’t said in the text you sent at all. is there more proof?
you stopped being outcasts trying to survive when the story became driven by horde getting away with atrocity after atrocity because the alliance is weak and stupid.
Top tier trolling, I am taking notes
Ugh. “She did it out of love for all things living”
Shes getting Kerriganed. She will be the great benevolent godess of death.
I might be done if this is true. I really might have to call it here.
I don’t think most people are playing for the story at this point. It’s just in the background.
LMAO sure, that’s why they cry evry expac about the “villain bat”.
I mean, it’s literally the entire reason why the whole of BFA happens.
100% on point with that article that was published a couple months ago about Blizzard’s “purple evil ladies”. They are sexy, they commit mass murder without any repercussions then they are redeemed as the best thing ever. After Sylvanas it’s Widowmaker’s turn.
Fanservice plot armor >20 years of story.
Did they hire the directors of game of thrones to write bfa and shadowlands?
I miss blizzard north.
Worst part is, it’s not even fanservice at this point. She has lots of hardcore fans but it’s clear most of the fandom is bored of her or outright hates her. It’s self-service as the writers love her.
Fire irl nathanos, hes like that creepy powerpuff girls reboot writer that made himself blossoms love interest.
Its weird, and downright creepy as hell.
Yeah, and it 'll get addressed when the players get to the BFA zones, just like the BC events are addressed in teh BC zones, and the wrath events are addressed in the wrath zones.
Why is this any different?
Why does a brand new player rolling a character for the first time, give a damn about what to them would be just a burned down tree/city.
A brand new player isn’t going to grasp what Teldrassil was, and how much of a tragedy it was.
Blizzards better off directing the introductions of races towards things that will actually immediately effect the new player and their experiences starting the game.
Those intros are already short enough as is, and don’t really have enough time to provide actual information for newbies, dragging it even more out for a burned out tree (Again, to the mind of someone just starting and having zero grasp of the lore) that means nothing to them?
Maybe in the night elf starting zone it would make sense, since the original night elf starting zone was IN teldrassil, but why would the horde race intros mention it? It’s not going to be relevant for a while to brand new players.
Why must you remind us of the horrible things in history?
So, I guess in Shadowlands Teldrassil will be available again?
Or will they say Jaina burned it?
I’m triggered tonight.
At least make a scenario where chromie takes us back and deletes bfa or something.
