NElf Genocide Didn't Happen

Plus didn’t the troll war happen like 2,800 years BEFORE Orcs even went through the Dark portal?

It’s funny that the ultra powerful Mary Suevanas couldn’t take Malfurion 1v1, but then later him and his beefed up wife couldn’t even beat a dude with a bow and two ghosts.

Thats some Battletech level plot armor right there.

I’m still waiting on those sources from Amanir’s ‘The Orcs are the only ones with a claim to Azeroth’ temper tantrum.

I think a retcon would be not great (and I don’t think it’s actually going to happen, full disclosure).

But y’all are treating this like it was a real event that happened and not a part of a game.

If they retconned this, and that’s a big if, it wouldn’t be the first time blizzard has walked back or altered lore, especially if they didn’t like the storytelling implications.

It’s true, nobody likes Nathanos. Not even sylvanas stans.

It was not a temper tantrum Nightborne!! There’s a different between logic and temper tantrum.

The alliance do suck and Varok Saurfang did put his axe in Malfurion. If he had not is irrelevant, because he did!

Except they weren’t waiting. They were evacuating. But when you consider the location of Teldrassil, there is a huge bottle neck. Keeping the portals open is exhausting. We may think of portals as no big deal, but in actual canon, Portals are rare things and exhausting to keep open. And boats can only carry so many people safely. Assuming the Horde didn’t have ships blowing them out of the water.

So, they were having to rotate mages to keep the portals open while they evacuated an entire city. I mean the QUEST had over a THOUSAND stragglers still to get to safety. That’s still a LOT of people.

Yes the troll wars happened a long time ago, but it is still relevant because the Amani trolls are right in their claims to lordaeron. So when the humans claim the alliance are the rightful original denizens of azeroth, they are wrong because they stole the land from the Amani. Orcs have more right to Azeroth than alliance.

Rule of Cool at its worst.

They have zero consistency in character power.

NPCs regularly go from the equivalent of level 80 to level 20, when their stable constant power should probably be around level 50.

WOOOOOOOOOOW. LMAO, this is just pathetic if they actually decide to go through with this hahahaha oh my god. Way to re-write history when the entire war was started because of it. Are they re-writing or removing the opening cinematic to BFA as well?

Wait no, I forgot that’s the alliance attacking Lordaeron as a result to the burning of teldrassil.

The troll wars happened years ago true, but in the Burning Crusade expansion the humans fought Zul’jin again and they were wrong in that instance as well. So saying you cannot punish the humans on the alliance or in stormwind for that is lorewise wrong. The alliance are guilty for killing Zul’jin in BC.

I’m generally a blizzard fanboy, but this is just dumb.

I’m not sure which side is getting it worse, alliance for having night elves basically told to go sit in a corner, or horde for having their personality stripped away.

Lol… if this actually happens it’s not becuase they want horde to “feel good”… it’s because they wrote themselves in to a corner with Sylvanas being an unredeemable villain and want to erase her problematic past, ushering in her redemption seamlessly.

Humans are descendants of Vrykul, who in turn are Titan forged made of earth and metal terraformed from Azeroth’s very surface made flesh, I dare say as a FORMER part of the planet they have more right to it than Trolls :joy:. Trolls on the other hand evolved in Kalimdor specificially, so if they have any “claim” to anything it is on THAT continent.

We “suck” but like 1/100th of our full military might and not even 100% of one of our many racial armies was holding the major army of the Horde at bay? those are very contradictory statements.

I’m so disgusted by this hateful and disrespectful writing.

I hope the writers read these posts, they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and I really hope they lose their job for treating the Night Elf fanbase like this intentionally to drive them away just because they don’t like us.

Humans and elves STOLE the land from the Amani trolls, nobody ever stole the land from the Vrykul. The Troll wars were a brutal injustice, therefore the trolls are the good guys and the alliance are bad.

The trolls waged constant war on the other inhabitants, in fact they actively TRIED to strong arm Humans when they first appeared, thinking they’d only fight defensively like the Elves, what they found out though was that the “Humans” were just as vicious and murder happy as the Trolls themselves, willing to burn down forests and use the most destructive of warring strategies. The Troll wars were brutal… certainly, due to the nature of it’s two biggest participants (humans and Trolls) as cavalry men and ground troops, an injustice though? hardly, more like two barbaric races acting like the neanderthals they were. The Trolls started the war, therefore they paid the price for their own murder happy tendencies, Trolls were no strangers to taking things by force, therefore they got what was coming to them. That’s Karma, not an injustice.
