i have my reasons but basically i want a good ol’ fashioned faction switcherooni. my question before the trigger is pulled is, will i have to re-unlock nazjatar? i can totally see my companions ranks being 0, but need my initial question answered. any hekp = mucho appreciato

As far as I can tell without having done it, yes. Your companions will stay at the same rank, I remember from another thread in this section, but the initial intro quests will need to be unlocked.
Think of it like Stormheim back in Legion, if you faction changed you’d have to do the faction-specific part over again.

Indeed, we were able to confirm that just this week. I believe the person who originally asked that question returned and confirmed that their companions swapped over without an issue.
