Man, come on. If you didn’t want to download BfA, you wouldn’t have downloaded the game at all.
Everyone is playing on the same client, which includes BfA content. Buying BfA only unlocks your account’s access to it, that’s it.
The item level stat squish was universal and independent of having BfA on your account.
You didn’t lose it. There was an item level squish. It’s the same gear, different numbers.

They can’t fix it, though. It’s current game design. Everyone had their numbers crunched. You’re still dealing and taking the same amount of damage as you were before, the numbers have just been drastically reduced.
It’s not broken. There is nothing to fix.
It applies to everyone, not just those who have purchased BFA. If you really want the old numbers, there might be an addon that does it. Removing BFA from your account will NOT do it.
