Need help unlocking account

Different problem with me but my account got locked out and after trying to a code to my recover email and never recieving it (Checked spam multiple times)my overall account “cant be found now”

I opened a ticket but since I can’t log in I can’t find the said ticket? I’m so confused I wish the system wasn’t this aggravating and I could talk to a live agent.

I sent a pic of my ID but without a ticket area to check my ticket (I cant log in) I feel hopeless.

You should be able to see any tickets you have open here:

That doesn’t work if you can’t log into your account, because when you click on tickets it wants you to log in (and I’m locked out)

I did save the ticket ID though, but Blizzards system of doing this is a bit of a mess.

Hmmm…I thought since you are logged in here, that it would still work, but if it’s asking you to log in again, then yeah, you’re sorta in a pickle.

That said, if you successfully put in a ticket, the final ticket page should have provided you with a ticket number. If you got that, then all you should need to do is keep an eye on your registered e-mail account for a reply from Blizz.

yeah it’s weird the forums auto logs me in.

my biggest concern is the fact that I did not get any of the “access code” emails I applied for this morning, and I don’t have spam folder enabled for blizzard or anything like that, however 4 days ago blizz sent me an email over their promotion of Daisy.

So it’s weird, my account recover emails won’t come through but their promotion did?

Ugh, it’s just so frustrating… sorry for the rant.

If I click on my account settings through the forums it asks me to log in and I can’t do that, but for some reason I’m able to post here.

I’m currently locked out of this account through bnet and Wow.exe

I’m going to move this conversation into its own thread since it is not related to the topic it was originally posted in. And I’d like to avoid potential confusion there.

It looks like the ticket you submitted earlier resulted in the Game Masters sending you a password reset to unlock your Blizzard account.

If you did not receive their reply, the password reset email, and aren’t receiving verification code emails - that would indicate to me that your email provider is potentially blocking Blizzard mail. Looking at the provider you use, this has been somewhat common with them.

This article includes some instructions and info on how to safe-list Blizzard email domains to help avoid them getting filtered by your email provider -

It doesn’t show me as blocking them though, I did receive an email about the daisy promotion 4 days ago

I’m assuming secondary emails are a no go? (same first ad last name, same address, ect)

The Daisy promotion email was sent from @em.blizzard.com which would be different than the domain used to send support related mail. So it’s possible for one to be received and not the others if your provider has restricted the sender domain for some reason.

You should be able to see a list of Blocked Senders under your Junk E-mail options.

You could always request that support change the email of your Blizzard account to a different provider if the one you’re using now is having trouble receiving emails from us.

I have 2 accounts, so my main account is using my main email (gmail)

this 2nd account is actually pretty old (2007) so It still has the hotmail attached to it, I checked my safe and blocked senders and blizzard isn’t on there, I did put them under safe though.

I’m just at a wall here with no idea what to do, Hotmail is also unreliable as heck these days, is there a way to communicate with the ticket that was replied to?

If you can’t log in on the support site, you won’t be able to reply to the ticket. But you should still be able to open a new ticket, the same way you opened the first.

I tried and it said I’m at the maximum number of tickets… ooof

I would also like to note that this account lock was the result of an attempt to log into the account from an unrecognized location. It looks like they were able to reset the account password which may also mean they have access to your email account.

If you haven’t already, I’d definitely suggest updating your email account password. Once you’re back into your Blizzard account, adding an authenticator would be my next recommendation if you have the option to.

I actually reset the password myself before it was “locked out” (the browser auto login)

The problem was it locked me out completely after trying to get the code emailed to me to “unlock it”

It looks like you have a second ticket already opened from earlier.

I’d suggest reaching out to Hotmail support and see if they can help you troubleshoot this further. We’re sending the emails, not sure why they’re not being received.

okay thanks for the head up, I hope they’re just delayed and I’ll get them eventually (the emails) from what I’ve read on reddit and other sites, it’s an issue

Yea, when I saw your domain I figured it might be related. :crossed_fingers:

one last thing before I let you go, should it say “this account cannot be found” when you’re locked out?

Usually that error means the email is entered incorrectly or the email was changed. I’m not seeing any email changes though.

If the email is entered correctly, then there may be a bug with the error message being shown back in lock situations.
