Accidently spent void touched curio on a duplicate set piece and was hoping to revert the purchase as it will only let me sell the piece back for gold now.
This kinda just feels like a non answer for a currency that is very limited tbh, and frankly it makes me want to just drop the game.
Could you please specify how it’s a non-answer? I took a look at the article and it says you have two hours after your purchase to refund the item. Are you still in that two hour window?
As soon as you equip it (the point at which I noticed the mistake) you are unable to do anything except sell it back for 64 gold. You’re right it’s an answer, it’s blizzard telling me to go screw myself and being entirely unhelpful and honestly as a newer player it’s enlightening to see how much blizzard seems to care about their players considering the no solution provided.
Policy is policy. They can’t change that. I’m sorry you got the wrong item, but we’ve all done it. There’s just some things that cannot be fixed. It’s why they have the timer and why they have the confirmation box pop-up.
I used Sparks last season to craft an agility weapon when I needed an intellect one. I had to wait weeks before I could craft another. And waste more materials and Sparks. It did suck. I understand.
They do care. They gave you two hours to refund it and a confirmation box pop-up prior to allowing it to be equipped.
I have also learned the hard way to check again before equipping when I did something similar last expansion.
Really? Or is it the anger of having to take responsibility for your choice of actions? They have a system in place to help for when people make mistakes. It even asked you if you were sure with a pop-up and you still made the choice to equip it.
I get that you’re upset at your choices, but Blizz does have a system in place for mistakes. Unfortunately, you told the system that you were absolutely sure this was the right choice, so there’s no option to go back.
I remember back when there was no system like this in place, and most players would have just accepted the fact that they made a mistake and own it.
My friend I get that you’re angry and you have every reason to be frustrated. At the end of the day though you got to do some due diligence and double check before you make your final choice. It happened, it was an accident, it’s no big deal in the grand scheme of things. Deep breaths. This gives you the goal now to get another void touched curio and try again.
Blizz could fix your problem, yes, then they’d have to step in every single time someone makes a mistake like you did though, and that would completely eat into GM time and resources from the myriad other issues they have to handle.
I’m sorry this happened to you but I think it’s time to step away and occupy your time to get your mind off this. Stuff happens, you just got to take the L and move on.
It may be, it may not be. We honestly don’t know. Or it may be just policy to ensure we’re making correct decisions and others aren’t trying to scam the system.
GMs help with many things. But there are policies for others. I encourage you to read the sticky thread in this forum concerning GMs.
Insinuating Blizz doesn’t care because you made a mistake doesn’t add up. Not everything is handed to you for your mistakes.
Enjoy your gaming elsewhere.
No, it’s Blizzard telling you that you have agency over many aspects of your gaming. That we built in some systems to help avoid the occasional mistake, but at the end of the day you are ultimately responsible for your actions.
The majority of the ones I’ve played and currently play, seem to take a much more aggressive hands off stance and do not help under any circumstance. Nor do they have as many protections in place to help avoid mistakes. However, If you found one that suits your needs in that way, I wish you well in where your gaming takes you.
