So disc holy and shadow compete for the same parse? When I get a 99 dps parse as a disc priest that means I beat shadow parses?

I haven’t looked recently, but at least the first few weeks the resto druids were parsing orange for damage with literally 0 dps.
Two things:
If you think your gear is what is holding you back you can check your parse by ilevel. This often gives a more indicative view of your performance when undergeared.
Secondly, the warlock discord would be a far better place for you to ask questions like this.
I’m not the world’s best lock by any means, so I screw up a lot of the same things
things that stand out:
no potion/bomb/fire blossom usage
gaps between casts
letting life tap buff drop way too long
dots falling off too long
not using immolate aura
