Need confirmation on end of vanilla fresh

I am worried with the state of fresh and the current time it takes to even afford consumes/grind honor that I am wasting my time if the character does not get the option to move/copy to ERA once TBC comes. The grind is simply not currently worth it without the future of my character being 100% known.

I also have friends who refuse to even try fresh because they only play vanilla and don’t want to lose the countless hours it takes to grind in vanilla once tbc comes out.

Question: Will we be able to move/copy our FRESH characters to ERA when prepatch drops.

I no longer want to waste anymore time with fresh until we get this answer, it should be very simple yes or no.

Thank you

Wouldn’t it be more simple to level on era if that’s your plan?

We don’t know. I would say if you want to play era you should level on era rn

I have my ERA characters but I also have other friends who made me come play FRESH with them. It’s more complicated than that.

Also, that’s why I said I will no longer waste time with fresh until we get some answers.

Yes, Blizzard should absolutely clarify what they’re going to do at the end of this vanilla fresh. Leaving players in limbo isn’t right

Wasn’t the general consensus this would be turned into a tbc era server?

I wouldn’t level here under the expectation that you would be able to xfer off, as their main intentions for this server is TBC.

assume worst-case scenario, and move on.

I believe the most likely answer is they will turn into rotational servers of the Classic > TBC > Wrath trilogy. Maybe possibly leaving behind an era server for each expansion but I feel like that would spread the player base really thin and they wouldn’t want to manage all that. Definitely needs clarified since this game does take a ton of time and you want to know what you’re investing in.

It never has been, and you were warned about this from the beginning.

I’ll just point here:
