If you want your character to end up in Era, then level and play on Era

Otherwise, expect to move into TBC if you’re playing anniversary realms.

They were clearly labeled as “progression realms” from the start.

If you want to play at 60 permanently then anniversary realms simply aren’t the correct place to be playing. It’s a TBC waiting room and that’s it.

It’s Vanilla fresh and if they don’t let us transfer to Era after I’ll go back to Era.

That would make common sense though. It’s also got features like duel spec which make ERA transferability less likely.

This is exactly why transfers are not necessary.

we know this, its why were enduring the extreme pain in the R’s that is 1.x

It’s not a deal breaker for me.
I’ve got a bunch of dudes there I can play.

Exactly! Omg I love you. Please keep explaining more of this

I mean, i’d prefer transfers but we’ll see what happens.

What about the opposite of the topic…

Can our era toons move into TBC?

Or do we forcefully have to play the annivers. realms in order for it to progress towards TBC?

I’m concerned about the silence on progression plans for Anniversary. I want to play TBC, and would even be fine with Wrath but absolutely do not want to progress beyond that. If Blizzard isn’t going to clarify the long-term plans for these servers in advance then they need to give us the ability to transfer off into either Era or newly created TBC Era servers when they do progress.

That’s why I’m just enjoying one character on the new realms and casually leveling an alt on era so I have something to continue working on even if I lose my main guy. It would be nice to keep him but if not oh well. This possibility is why I won’t invest into more than one character on anniversary.

they showed us they can afford megaservers technologicaly, so with the demand, i think we finally get Era for each xpac Vanilla/TBC/Wotlk soon

TBC for me, got enough of Vanilla for a moment, and Wotlk was full of DK bots in BGs so i don’t have a lot of interest in it

You should be.

Their silence is on purpose.

They want to be able to backtrack on any of their plans without looking like they broke their word.

I expect to see a paid character transfer option with a start date/end date corresponding with TBC pre patch.

Blizz will make some easy money and the community will complain they didn’t have an opportunity to xfer to era.

:owl:

any vanilla character weve made since classic 2019 has been able to stay in era why woulda= anyone think this wouldnt be an option?? they will prob allow transfers off during naxx phase. they could also be selling clones again because lots of players have been asking for that to come back. MOST IMPORTANTLY GIVE US TBC AND WOTLK ERA!!!

they would need to strip your characters gold first if they allowed that. some people might get mad at a full bis era character coming into tbc whose had years.

On paper right now, yes. It appears as if that is the plan Blizzard has set in place.

If you would like to play TBC then it would need to be with an Anniversary character.
Anniverasy Realms and Era are just completely separate modes that are effectively unrelated.

Personally, I’m waiting for the TBC pre-patch where were we can actually start leveling Bloodelves. And I also need to see some confirmation on whether or not anniversary realms conclude with TBC-Era or if they’ll just keep progressing into WOTLK and beyond.

In the absence of any information on this, I’m not touching Anniv realms.

Transfers from Aniv into Era seem completely inappropriate considering what Era is, and what anniversary realms are. Anniv realms were always indicated to be progression realms.

As far as Era characters being to clone into TBC-anniv realms? It wouldn’t surprise me if Blizz enabled this for the easy cash grab- but again if you want to level a Bloodelf or Draenai you’ll need to just level on Anniv realms anyway so I don’t see much of a point in even facilitating xfers.

People can just level up in the mode that they want to play in, no xfers necessary.

Be prepared to move to Wrath with no ability to stay on a TBC Era?

we will get tbc era!!!

Ihavecometo accept this is almost a certainty now given blizz has fully eliminated paid character moves on Era.

Also because we had a massive post asking for clarification weeks before while they answered other questions, but dodged us.
