Need addons!

I googled what addons i needed for pvp and theres like 10 different addons to dl according to their list. Is that needed? can anyone tell me the addons that are 100% required? some of these addons i cant even move around, i dont get it, wtf happened to wow, this shlt is ridiculous with all this stuff on the screen holy shlt

No addons are 100% required, enjoy.

I recommend GladiusEx at a minimum. Shows enemy frames, cast bars, trinkets, etc.

As someone who’s reached 2400 in solo shuffle, DN is the add on that’s helped my rating sky rocket! I can personally vouch for it and I’m sure many others will too!

I agree it’s ridiculous. Having said that, for me personally:

  • GladiusEx (or Gladius, or Sarena)

  • OmniBar

  • OmniCD

  • Mes WeakAura Pack

  • Totem WeakAura (I use Teea Nameplate Totems)

  • OmniCC

  • Details is not required but nice for evaluating damage/healing/cc after games

  • BigDebuffs

  • FrameSort (for consistency with placing you where you want to be on frames, e.g., top, bottom, middle)

  • Depending on spec, spec specific weak aura(s) to track important buffs/debuffs

  • BugGrabber and Bugsack (because somewhere in the mix of all of these, you will get lots of interface errors, and these addons prevent lua errors from popping up in the middle of your screen)

Is this the best add-on for making Grounding killable?

I want to play with summon nameplates off because of zoo specs, but still need a way to make totem nameplates large, visible, and interactable :l

It makes all totems a lot easier to see and target yeah, especially when there is a lot of other clutter on screen from pets/spell animations/etc.

Yeah the Skill-Capped UI package is pretty sweet.

I would just follow the free tips and see what I could do.
Did you have the membership package thing?
If so, how did it turn out for you?
I would pay $20 for a sweet UI, but I don’t think this would work well for me.
I do a lot of BGs, so stuff like Mes WA for BG would be like panic attack simulator at all times while fighting.

Nah, I just took the one from their discord then move it around a bit. Their details placement was about the only thing that I didn’t like.

Do they work on Mac?

Or is there a non-weak aura substitute for making totems easier to notice/target/kill?

No idea about compatibility with Mac.

From just looking up (never tried these personally), from a post made a year ago that "
You can use Threatplates Totem Widget to increase the size of the totem bar. I’m sure you could do it with Plater as well".

And another mentioned NugTotemIcon in curseforge.

addons r a game changer

it may be hard to notice ur tareget is cycloned or bubbled in the middle of combat without bigdebuffs. this game has a lot of aoe graphics and clutter. at least for me
