What do you guys suggest?
World of Warcraft Shadowlands
SWTOR? Sucks if you’re not a star wars fan though. Also the FPS in that game gets really awful.
Sadly, despite all its shortcomings, wow pvp is the best mmo pvp you’re going to find.
Believe me, I’ve looked.
as the above poster mentioned no other mmo has pvp that feels like WoWs
they are either clunky, pvp non-existent, dead population, boring, or all a combination of all of the above.
Wait for Riot to make an actually good one. Unless you love rerolling over and over to play whatever is OP, Shadowlands isn’t fun.
Riots is likely years away though
I feel like SWTOR has a healthier pvp population queues there are less than a minute.
I really don’t think that many people actually PvP in WoW anymore because it’s been so bad. I’ll give SWTOR a try.
I know it’s years away but it’ll actually be the WoW killer we’ve all been waiting for. The only game Riot hasn’t really surpasses in quality is their card game but I think it’s because everyone got sick of card games besides Hearthstone.
Uhh just a heads up. The ranked pvp scene in SWTOR is non existent. However Random Warzones are popping all the time. They are sort of like random bgs.
there isn’t 1
has anyone tried sword of legends online
I’ve been having fun playing Chinese checkers online.
SWTOR’s engine is so clunky the PvP has never felt right fyi.
To be honest it’s WoW’s art team and engine that has carried it for so long, nothing is as close in terms of responsiveness.
There’s a big potential market out there for any developer who can create a smooth engine for a PvP MMO but they’re all clunky AF.
I’ve done this search before and there really isn’t anything that’s nearly as good. If any other developers could produce something half as good as what wow could be, wow never would have existed this long.
But with player made addons, a decent community (even though it’s dwindling), smooth game play, and a variety of classes (even though not all are viable) wow has just been really hard to beat or replicate it feels like.
Plus wow has had 13+ years to build/ruin this game. Just imagine how big this game could be if they continued to put effort into the pvp side and grew this as a more viable self sustaining game play.
I feel like ESO has potential if it wasn’t so clunky. The inputs are timed wired with the actions and the cancelling of casting animations is something I hate to do.
But even that doesn’t have focus macros or anything like that. You’d have to manually swap targets and at that point you’d be dead anyway.
I think the other issue is nostalgia. You play wow for so long (or played and took a break) and try another game. It’s just not wow. That’s probably the reason half of us are here instead of playing some other console game.
Not a whole lot out there at the moment. SWTOR is good and a lot of people are playing that again. Never have been a fan of ESO. I have been playing sword of legends theres tons of PvP at end game 15v15 battle grounds and 3v3 etc… its been good so far if you are in to Asian mmo’s
that’s it forum crusaders we need to unit and make our own game. Well call is Warcraft of the world. Ok so he has mad game development skills? I’ll be our project organizer… I’m vastly qualified with my CompTia project + certificate and no real world experience.
Yeah that’s part of it.
I think the biggest factor is people don’t want to give up their network they built and the other is the fear of starting over and being super bad.
