I love Maldraxxus too much

I agree, it definitely needs some love. Maldraxxus wasn’t my favorite but its great that you love it. Just curious, what do you like about it? Id love to know what draws you to the zone.

I would have went maldraxxus for the transmog. I think its a really cool set. But the rest of the stuff I’m not sold on completely

Transmog and the mount ofc. It’s the only covenant that lets me show my dwarf beard in the set,

I was enchanted by the Primus and the questline within.

I find the characters legitimately charming and I’m invested in them.

OH AND I LOVE THE STITCHMASTERS

For me it was the music. Loved the story, the look is great, but the zone music didn’t speak to me. I love Ardenweld and Revendreth for their use of Leitmotif. It creates a really nice sense of cohesion throughout the zone. Maldraxxus and Bastion have nice music but they lack that cohesion, the creative through-line

Oh yeah I love spending time in Ardenweld just for the music sometimes

I also found Bastion kind of offensive and even the game knows you will sympathize with the Forsworn.

I just didn’t think Venthyr were that interesting. Vampire gothic land? Been there, done that.

Fair enough, certainly Gothic isnt exactly new for some zones in WoW but I similar to you with Maldraxxus, I found the characters legitimately charming. I went into SL convinced I was going Night fae. Then I hit Revendreth and was completely swept up in the story and I really like the characters. Im a sucker for a revolution story. Also the music is delightful

When I first landed there and it was the battle collesium, I did enjoy the music. The intensity. And the whole atmosphere. I almost chose the covenant based on the first 10 minutes alone. But after the battle collesium was done and questing began, I lost interest and didn’t take to the abilities too much. If they were to make the banner mobile, that would have helped.

The abilities are so so bad.

Either in dungeons or pvp…they really do nothing for us.

I mean, obviously they can tweak the numbers and make them decent on paper…but they really arent fun.

Oh well. Jello kitten anyone?

Not him, but the abilities and zone story were what drew me to it (the amazing transmog as well). I’ve always wanted Warriors to incorporate more things like banners, shouts, and thrown weapons. I was torn between Kyrian and Necro but as much as I loved the look of Bastion I hated the quests and NPCs. Necrolord seemed like the best fit for a warrior to champion and I’m pretty sure in one of the cut scenes there isn’t even a representative for Maldraxus, just an empty seat that needs filling.

I even love Fleshcraft, as useless as it is.

Thought I was gonna go Venthyr due to condemn, but I ended up disliking the zone and characters. Necrolords grew on me very quickly and I knew I had to go with them, despite the dog**** *** ability. I’m just waiting for the inevitable buff now. It’s been pretty painful so far.

I honestly think the ability isn’t bad itself. The cooldown is long, and should be shortened to 2 minutes. Also, the conduit needs to add critical damage to the Warrior during the banner instead of being a Strength buff, and Glory should be a 15%/15 stacks Strength buff (swap conduit and base Glory effect). That’s a 25% uptime of 15% Strength and a 10% crit/20% hp party buff. That is crazy good.

Just because we’re not seeing the direct effects of that 10% crit doesn’t make it bad–it’s actually really good (when it affects the right targets). The plague deviser’s ooze buffs from Fleshcraft and Emeni’s better party synergy are even more reasons Necrolord isn’t as “garbage tier” as people pretend.

Necrolord seemed like the obvious choice for an undead warrior, thematically. I chose them regardless of the ability because that transmog set was irresistible, but I’m really regretting the decision now with how hilariously awful conqueror’s banner is. I’ll stay with them for now but if they don’t meaningfully buff it soon I’ll change to Venthyr probably. Not just because of the damage numbers, but it just isn’t a fun ability either.

I love Maldraxxus and I love the Necrolords, and my undead warrior feels at home there, but please buff the ability/abilities

I hope they’ll do something about the banner once they get some m+ and raiding info, but I won’t hold my breath for too long.

If you get the right mobs to flesh craft then 2% strength and 120 mastery for 2 minutes is actually pretty great. It’s just not consistent so that’s probably why it’s ranked so low.

There’s so many changes that need to be done with the banner as well. I like what you’re suggesting but it needs to move with us too.

I feel that if they change the banner to a mobile banner (something that you carry on your back) and extend the range at least 5-10 yards. It will probably be a great start.

Of all dungeons I have done, I don’t think I ever stood still for too long, I had a trinket that would put a spot below me for increased haste, I legit only stood in it for about 1-2 seconds before a mechanic made me move, or tank moved the boss/mobs/group.

I can only imagine how it feels to have a big major cool down banner sit there while you are 1yd out of its buff zone. Just trying to inch your big toe into the buff circle, so close yet so far away.

I’m a necrolord prot warrior… fleshcraft is fine, it can be pretty useful if you use it on a boss that you just downed and want to do a huge pull but besides that it can feel pretty worthless.

Banner is only useful during lust, I’ve found.

Make the dumb shield instant or at least much faster, I went maldraxxus on my dk and I hate pressing that button. If it has to be a bit weaker to make that not OP then fine. Kyrian potions are so much better its not even funny. Sucks that the most warrioresque faction is so bad a choice for warriors

I thought so at first, but I disagree after more time using it during raid and mythics. The stationary nature means there’s some skill to its use. That said the radius could use a slight 5 yard buff because most ground effects can completely eat the entire buff area. I have also made concern about the UX of the visual, as I have watched too many pugs walk out of the green swirly death circle or move bosses away… These comments are a little higher up in this thread:

If the cooldown stayed at 3 minutes, the mobility could offset the lack of uptime overall, but a 2 minute cooldown and the fact you can stack Glory outside of the aura outright removes the demand for it’s mobility with higher uptime and most of it’s power being tied to rage use.

It’s fine being stationary with a good radius. As it is, it’s just too punishing for any fight with movement or pvp in general. Having an ability that’s 100% useless in 1 form of content because of the limitation of it being stationary isn’t the right way to balance it out. Totally fine if it’s not BIS for pvp, but it should work.
