Honestly speaking though, what were people expecting?
Anu-Azshara, Staff of the Eternal, Shiver Venom Lance, Diver’s Folly, Shiver Venom Crossbow, Squidhunter Speargun, Court Dagger of Sentencing, Sivara’s Slitherblade, Fang of the Behemoth, Claw of the Myrmidon, Hatchery Scraper, Dream’s End, Royal Scaleguard Battleaxe
This list goes on. Do you know what all these have in common?
They are weapon drops from Eternal Palace. Weapon drops that would be 90% redundant in both LFR and normal had the starting quest granted a 415 weapon.

25 ilvs below emissaries, 30 ilvls below Darkshore, 5 ilvls below capping Conquest the first week, the same ilvl as a set of 4 Warfront quests? Suuuuuuuuuure it was meant to be 370.
370 is even more incompetent design than a 415. I’d love to meet the unicorn player for whom that’s an upgrade.

I mean 370 weapons have been available for a long time. I viewed the quest weapon as a way to help players who have been gone for a while get a leg up. But the way they have just lied and handled this shows me Blizzard does not care . Some bean counter probbaly said they could squeeze out a few more MAU is they lowered the weapon ilvl to 370. Blizzard is officially a garbage company

Well Blizz you screwed the pooch on this one. Totally out of touch with your player base. Take away something people spent time and effort on (water strider) with no real compensation. Then add in the last minute nerfs (iLvl for weapon and armor). I guess I should of expected as much. New zone is underwhelming, more of just the same. Just sad, I had a lot of hope for 8.2. No desire to play. Sub ends in Sept. Enough said.

Its not the fact they changed the weapon ilvl , its the fact they are lied about it . If it was a known bug in PTR they should have said something . Now they look worse then they have before . Scumbag company . Its official, Blizzard is no more

Gear in LFR and normal has been redundant most of the expansion already - why would people except this to be any different.
BoD normal in case you weren’t aware drops 385 gear. Warfront quest gives 400. Emissaries give 395 gear.
Even normal crucible gave 390-395 - still lower than warfront quest.

Mine is ending in Aug. Was gonna play classic but now I dont want to give Blizzard any money . Ill play FFXIV and ESO instead

It’s never the crime, it’s always the coverup that trips them up. Without the lie, I’d be in Najatar right now. Now I doubt I’ll log in at all, and my sub was set to renew tomorrow. At first I was pissed, but now I’m just a bit saddened. I’ll still keep an eye on the game, if only to see just how far down into a hole they’ll drive it before giving up.

Imagine unsubscribing because you won’t get raid quality weapons for free at the start of a patch. Have you ever considered doing content that rewards appropriate gear in return?

You guys CANNOT pay for your own raid and dungeon content. There just isn’t enough of you. So you keep chasing people away and you yourself will have to thank for less of that content in the next few years.

I’m kind of new to the forums, and am curious. Is this the place where people come to complain about things that honestly don’t even make a difference in their gameplay on WoW? It’s a 415 weapon that you don’t get anymore because they reduced the ilvl, got it. If your ENTIRE gameplay depended on this one item and the fact that it isn’t the ilvl you feel you deserve to be handed to you then I hate to say it, but I don’t believe you should have started playing WoW in the first place. Quest items are not supposed to be your source of gear, they’re main purpose (at least in my experience) is there to help you get into dungeons, raids, pvp. They’re not meant to be the main source of your gear. And to be honest, if quest gear is your main source of gear, this means you probably don’t do other aspects of the game, in which case you do not need a 415 weapon because you’re not doing content that requires an item with that ilvl. Like I said I’m new to forums and maybe this is just how it is. But looking at it in the sense of actual gameplay and “Do I actually need this item?” I mean, you kind of don’t.
