The prices are definitely fixed. Comically and obviously fixed. Prices were getting down to 65 on my server with 15k available from about 10 different sellers and a couple hours later 4k available from one seller at 130. ( And yes this very illegal in the real world ) And this happens every 3-5 days.
Where multiboxers might help is as demand goes down and the supply entering the market remains the same they’re probably going to get caught with a high inventory in a collapsing market and it will happen sooner rather than later if they keep having to buy more than they sell to keep prices high.
The only realistic solution is changing node mechanics or giving every server their own shard.
The AH as a commodities market is a joke. At the very least it needs buy offers and transaction history to provide some downward pressure and probably some policing of price fixing. But Blizzard has been very pro ENRON capitalism when it comes to these things.
Basically, the way multiboxing software works is it allows each client to “listen” to the keyboard for instructions instead of only the current focused client.
This is far more easily attributed at AH Arbitrage, which has been going on in this game since the AH first opened. Someone with a bundle of cash buys out all of a commodity at the lowest price points, relists at a higher price, and profits on the difference.
In fact, multiboxers are actually a buffer against that activity - not a contributor.
Enable “Broadcasting mode” to mirror your keyboard and mouse actions precisely to your other game windows , and even see the active mouse cursor in all game windows!
Key broadcasting (also known as key cloning ), not to be confused with [key mapping], is the passing of keys that you press to your other game windows, exactly as and when you press them yourself. key broadcasting functionality is provided by [Repeater]
Repeater is a part of ISBoxer that is responsible for [key broadcasting] and [mouse broadcasting] – in other words, whatever you type or click is precisely repeated in the other windows
Well its semi auto, it may be 1 click from user but a program is automatically sending the commands to the other clients
Naz’Jatar has one sort of herb that all the players want. Every other zone has herbs nobody wants but lorewise, they could be very useful to the inhabitants of Naz’jatar who would not be able to obtain them by normal means, y’know what I mean?
Yes, hardware-only multicasting switches are a thing - so now I guess we’ll get down to “Oh, well then that hardware should be banned!” next. Before VMs were a routine thing OG multiboxers were using separate computers in many cases…I guess that should be outlawed too?
by saying 1 click from user then a program sends commands to 9 clients to herb or Mine is the same as playing 1 person playing 1 client, lol not the same thing
Stripping an area making entire populaces unable to do their professions or make gold kind of falls under being against ToU. Just like camping a quest area that people need for the mobs can be considered as such.
true to the fact that it takes 10 people to make a node despawn automatically ,
A multiboxer is no different then fat person hording toilet paper on purpose…
Sounds good, let’s add bluetooth, kvms, any form of wireless hardware to the list too. Might as well add drivers and any other software that comes with a standard keyboard/mouse. Being third party software and all.
10, actually. Also, difference being that third party software doesn’t give any additional benefits that a regular, sane person already has or has very easy access to that effects gameplay ‘heavily’. Multiboxing+Botting defenders really are cute.
