Nazjatar and Mechagon

I came back to the game recently after a couple years off and I really enjoyed the story leading up to saving Jaina etc. But once I went to Nazjatar and Mechagon I realized it was the same old crap. I came in late to the expansion and instead of gearing up to raid and doing end game content I’m grinding for the stupid flying achievement! Would it be so bad to buff rep gains for all the factions required for the Pathfinder achievement this late in the xpac?

The rep gains in those last two zones is miniscule. There’s not many world quests and hardly any world quest bonuses either. No missions to reward rep on the ship. It’s all rep that I’ve already earned for part 1. I get they want you to stay engaged in the game but it needs to be because I’m having fun, not out of a sense of necessity.

Please let us pay a big sum of gold to fly again after the first character on our account reaches max level!! This achievement locking is BS!! I have absolutely ZERO intent on visiting either Nazjatar or Mechagon ever again when I get my flying. That’s how much I hate them!

Took most of us about 10 days to get the pathfinder part 2 done from start to finish. Yeah it’s more junk dailies, but it’s also only ten days of them.

I just do crab dailies and the mechagon 850 rep one and log out. Not worth my time there.

It took some a week to get the required rep in the new zones. Hardly not doable.

Took me a little over 2 but I work weekend doubles so don’t play much Friday, at all Sat and barely Sun.

I just wish there was more I could do to grind it faster. I have the contract for Mechagon but it’s only 11 rep per world quest. 10 quests barely gets me 100 rep.

Don all the quests per day, and kill all the rares. Open chests u til you no li ger gain rep from them.

Yeah, it sucks and there should be. But there isn’t and never is. Only time I’ve seen them improve rep grinds is if you do vanilla random ones like Timbermaw, Thorium Brotherhood or such.

The chests don’t award rep. And getting around fast enough to locate a rare and then fine whatever cave, ledge or hole they’re in is frustrating. I just go clear all the dailies, world quests and such then log out. It’s very fatiguing. I remember during Wrath I’d want to stay logged in for hours and hours… it was so much fun that I wanted to play more and more. Now it’s a job. I want flying for my alts, if I was leveling one character I’d say screw it and start raiding.

You get like 850 rep for doing ONE world quest in Mechagon.

Each of the dailies offers ~100 rep there.

Blizzard is practically handing you flying on a silver platter.

If you have a friend that has a sandstone drake. They can fly you around for WQ’s it really helps.

forgot about the alt timeline. I hate fishing period. Scrap turn in?

@Krutz: Hardly… a silver platter would be paying a few gold and just getting it. The achievement lock was totally designed for sub retention.

Funny. I earned flying opening a chest in Mechagon. Must have auto completed a world quest or something.

Addon called RareScanner can be a great friend to you. And you will quickly learn the layout of itnis that important to you.

For Mech, get the jet pack recipe, then use them to do the 850 daily. In nazjatar I just did the emissaries.

it takes less than 2 weeks calm down and before anyone gets all huffy i think pathfinder isn’t the best solution to the flying thing

I don’t think the complain here is about the amount of days but the sheer timegating itself behind dalies.

Don’t get me wrong, under no circumstance I think it’s hard to achieve, no. It’s more something about the time it takes to wait for the reward to appear, you could rush all you want for the reward you want to get but still, there’s nothing you can do about the wait time.

Let’s say you only have one day a week to actually sit down and play, i don’t know, perhaps you work 60+ hours a week? Still you have to wait a whole other week where you have to fill up the necessary quest to reach the amount of rep for flying.

Probably, because it would reward/encourage this.

To clarify - it would reward people NOT playing rather than those who played throughout.

you farm both each day its about a week or so depending how much you do / play, part two isnt that bad, its part one with the stupid turtles that was the pain though.
