I am usually very unlucky with this game, but I guess that has not been the case for me during this event.
Before the patch last Tuesday, I had no T3 gear. I now have 5 pieces towards DDG. 2 of my pieces were drops from lamented gear (shoulders and pants). Belt is free from Kara for paladins, and bracers are obviously given. I got really lucky with the helm that showed up on the BMAH the other day and I got it for less than I would have spent doing it the naxx way.
I run Naxx on 10 chars a week (full clears, even KT) and have gotten 1 lamented piece a week so for me, I am averaging one piece per 50 attempts.
It is obviously a big investment both with time and gold. I do it because I have wanted this set for so long, but felt I had no control over obtaining it. Now I can focus my efforts on missing pieces.

Go to TSMās website and pay for their premium add-on. Using the premium add-on, search their website for the tier 3 piece you want on the BMAH.
Get a max level character on a second WoW account on the server that has your tier 3 piece. Trade gold from your main to this new wow character.
Buy the item from BMAH.
There, keep doing this until youāre done.
Oh, bullcrap. Thatās not what OP is talking about at all. This whole system has Tier 3 on RNG because, somehow, despite it being the #1 complaint of the BfA expansion, they have failed to learn their lesson that RNG on gear is a horrible idea. Iām gonna have to break down 10,000 of each slot token at a rate of 6 per week per toon before I get the one piece of armor for that slot that I can use. And then I have to do that 8-9 times. Weāre talking YEARS of running Naxx. Iāve already been trying to get this set for 17 years and now they want me to not even be close until Iām 50? Iād actually prefer it if each piece cost 1000 Corruptor Stones, because that is actually a goal thatās going to take long enough to feel rewarding, but not so long & random that Iāll be eligible for AARP before I get it.

I prefer a thousand times that price that you propose than the current system, it still takes a lot of time and farm, but the goal is clear, not like this one where you have to fight against RNG and look for someone who has the recipes and doesnāt decide to charge too much gold

Thatās what you sound like right now. Not everyone has the millions of gold you have. Not everyone can no-life farming for T3. Not everyone can spend $100+ on tokens to buy the gold to make a set.
The prices and farming time of T3 has been artificially inflated because old Naxx doesnāt exist anymore. Thatās the only reason. Every other set of tier is still available and totally free to farm. Why not this, too?

And this is why itās a rare thing because not everyone will have it or be able to do it.
People with this mentality that everyone should get everything, no one fails, here is your participation trophy, are the reason most things in the world suck because they are meaningless anymore.
If you guys all had your way, youād have completed the farm already and be complaining it was too easy.

Soā¦ are folks complaining that it takes effort to collect items that are otherwise unobtainable and are, and have been ever since the release of Cataclysm, rare collectors items?
Thereās still plenty of items that you can get from this but if you wanted a āfreeā tier 3, ehā¦ thatās not how being a collector in a MMO works

The items are available and this is supposed to be another way of getting them, but since they are also only really worth getting as they are rare pieces because of their scarcity (most of 'em exist as transmog in other places, and a lot of 'em also have higher fidelity versions of themselves elsewhere) ā¦ they are only realistically worth collecting if you care about them as a collector
At which point none of this is out of the realm of being reasonable; the game is a MMO after all and not a singleplayer game - you cannot 100% World of Warcraft so treating it as if you can get an Xbox trophy for 100%:ing the game is more than a lilābit silly

im 11 chars a day for three weeks now, no rare boss in scholo. im done bothering if i dont get the toy by the end of the week, just arbitrary nonsense for the sake of it.
With this many clears, Iām guessing a player would have enough gold to pay the crazy gold vendor prices. (Via vendoring junk and raw gold drops)

Claiming prestige on items that were removed from the game due to Blizzardās own bugs and saying that they shouldnāt come back or should require even greater efforts than the current truly exclusive content is never going to fail to seem absurd to me, not to mention that your comment clearly evades every valid arguments given so far and it just says we want everything for free in a tier set that is just like any other in the game but was removed due to mistakes of Blizzard, too bad they didnāt burst this bubble and we see everyone with T3 by valdrakken

Best Fix they can do to make spamming Naxxramas on 50 toons weekly is to make all the Raid trash that is Elite Drop the Scourgestones.And bosses drop up to 3 of the Green one. It will make it easier yes for those Hunting and lower the amount of time blizzard wants us to physically waste due to the current setup for grinding out Scourgestones etc being well lets just say Pathetic. I get the dungeon bosses only dropping 1 sure. But the Raid shoul droop them or have a chance to drop them as long as they are the elite trash and bosses have a roll of 1-3 for the Green ones. (forget the name off top of my head). If they did that minor change along with making Either Phylacterweave easier to get from failed Dented gear or the Dented gear once turned into a green or rare can be disenchanted into its base drop formatwith a chance for a Phylacterweave drop added on top. But I would just like to see the amount of Phylacterweave dropped by half . 280 for just the Helm is insane. that 280 should cove 60% of the set. Chest Helm and Shoulders I agree should cost the most but the rest should be way lower like 30-40 max
THE reason itās rare is because old Naxx was removed. Thatās the only reason. I never said it should be free. I said it should be free to farm. Put a 1% drop chance for any T3 tier piece in Naxx. Thatās fine with me. But having this cost so much for the mats and having to pay someone else to craft it is completely ridiculous. Thatās IF you get lucky with the Dented equipment in the first place.
You know what you had to do originally to get it? Get a random drop off a boss in Naxx and farm for some fairly easy to get items.
Hereās everything that was needed for a full Warrior set:
- 20 Arcanite Bars
- 4 Nexus Crystals
- 19 Cured Rugged Hide
- 106 Wartorn Plate Scraps.
- 8 Desecrated (Item Set Piece)
Everything but the Desecrated item could be bought off the AH. A set was significantly cheaper and easier to get back then compared to now, so this false sense of rarity isnāt warranted.
Not one person suggested that the set should be given freely, only that it shouldnāt require the hoops and dancing it takes now.

the shield one might be tough to sell due to the wood part is a different color
from the 10 man one
I not really selling the items (only a few) mostly to make them for myself and my wife. A few of the items are pretty nice looking.
