This could have been avoided if they just released naxx40 as it was and called it a day…
Buuut that wouldnt encourage people to buy WoW tokens ;p
“I made myself suffer through a miserable system, so you all have to, too.”
Sure thing, guy.
You gotta admit, even though this person will contribute nothing to the conversation it’s nice that they bump the post to the top so it stays relevant.
I think this sums up most of the comments from players who support this system and call those who complain say that they want everything easy or that it arrives in the mailbox when logging in.
There is in fact such a thing called ‘conscious capitalism’.
I recommend looking it up, and if your interested, a great book about company’s called ‘small giants’.
Two things I wish Bobby kotick and Ion would look into.
Our entire western culture needs a serious overhaul honest to god.
Better than “I am entitled to mog because I pay a sub” mindset.
It’s an incoherent design philosophy and you’re struggling to justify it beyond saying players are “entitled” to it, as if that isn’t exactly what 99.9% of transmogs/mounts/pets are in the game already.
Lol Blizzard says they’re basically fine with it.
They want “rare things to remain rare” which, to me, contradicts the stuff they put on the Trading Post and Twitch.tv- those things WERE rare until Blizzard decided they weren’t.
What’s it gonna be Blizz?
It’s all so insanely arbitrary.
They lack coherence and seriousness regarding how they choose what is rare and what is not rare in such an arbitrary way, in the same way when they decide to bring some items that are rarer than others and give preferential treatment to some just because they are more popular, for example, icebane set is much rarer than any T3, but there we have it to create with professions, hakkari blades were just as rare as corrupted ashbringer and those swords did come back but not CA, so no I understand the logic behind all this, rather than caring if it’s popular or not, they don’t care about rarity, they care if it’s something players want
you sound like someone who dont understand the difference between real life and a game. games are supposed to be fun. not a chore.
so your comment just make me think you don’t have a real life
Grind IRL and buy WoW tokens then buy the Lament items on the AH gg
wow, my guy. playing with the fel magics has rotted your brain.
if you think enthusiastically playing devil’s advocate will highlight to others, some insight you think you have made, about this new game system and the negative comments surrounding it, i think you have monstrously miscalculated your own intelligence.
not only have you " comically " over-simplified the issue, but you have built a straw man, and then you enthusiastically defend this straw man in " hilarious " fashion, all this indicates is not only do you not understand the issue, but you would like to insult those you disagree with. it is clear you are not capable of engaging with this topic at a compassionate level.
the only thing this says is that you think everyone is too stupid to understand just how " …great… " this game is. but if they (activision) have to force people into being mindless task slaves repeating laundry lists of monotonous chores just for the sake of engagement metrics to put on the spreadsheets so it looks like people are playing the game a long time, just how great is it really?
you are just making yourself look like you don’t understand many important things about human psychology, which we need to understand, in order to prevent civilization collapse. hint: greed will eventually be limited, one way or another. myopia will eventually be evolved past, or we will go extinct.
or are you trying to say endless slogs for 0.0x% droprate items is the future / final form of gaming? huh einstein?
I would really like to see an alternate line where blizzard strips T3 of all prestige and allows anyone to get it without gold farming or suffering lousy RNG, because right now all they have done is make those who got T3 with BMAH feel superior to those who now have to get it this way, creating a highly toxic and elitist environment.
I 100% agree this is absolutely ridiculous and a serious issue that blizzard needs to address!! I am so sick of blizzzard ruining this game. 100% dead game
if this option is really as bad as you’re claiming why don’t you try the BMAH.
Chances are anyone who wants the pieces got them long ago. Just seems like this thread is complaining for the sake of it. Do you want it or not? Like I don’t get it. Was available for 6 (?) years since WoD but all of a sudden this new method is a huge problem???
Where did blizzard say they were trying to make these sets more accessible? If you ask me, I feel like this addition caters to people on very high pop (full) realms. the BMAH isn’t an option because the bids go very high. If you’re on a small realm you shouldn’t have any problems slowly acquiring the full set.
Correct.
And it erks the living HELL out of me.
They’ve become more accessible in that acquisition of the piece can be done on one’s own schedule. Also, a piece can be targeted without shopping around on BMAHs across the region.
Note that I’m just pointing out how the pieces have become more accessible. I do think the RNG on the tokens should be loosened up a bit, but otherwise I’m generally in agreement with your post.
I’m going 84 dented pauldrons and still don’t see any lamented pieces, just grey, white, green, blue armor and 17 weaves, pretty unnerving, 50 dented pauldrons with 10 characters in naxxramas and then 34 more farming in scholomance (which takes a lot longer btw), the RNG definitely needs even more fixes or else add some suggestions that have been given before, like adding a weekly quest that gives you a piece like bracers quest, or the first dented token being guaranteed, it’s frustrating to see how your efforts simply don’t have any tangible reward and to know that even if it encouraged me to try to complete a T3, I would still be missing 5 more lamented pieces if I got one, because some have “suffered” in BMAH, it doesn’t have to give other players the same experience, this doesn’t make it a good system at all, in the end it feels like the idea is to wear the player down seeing that they don’t get results and buy wow tokens for buy the lamented pieces directly from AH to others than if they have had better luck or more than 20 or 30 characters doing naxxramas.
100% man, its alrdy been like what 2 weeks now since 10.1.5 released this rng is unacceptable!!! We should 100% have alrdy gotten at the very least one full set if not 2 or 3!!! Blizzard is ruining their game making us play it!!! 100% unfair unfun. Naxx event 100% dead on arrival, wow is a dead game!
