Then what was the point of this current phase? This is easily the worst announcement for classic in a long time. Why would you not let us know months ago? Good job ruining the point of phase one in its entirety and then letting us know LATE that you would do this.
It was pretty obvious from the start that these would remain in game. They changed the way they did things after Ulduar and didnāt remove the Proto drakes there at all.
Edit - I thought they removed them with cata launch, guess they are still obtainable.
should we tell them firsts were logged over 13 years ago? I think they missed that memo.
Iād wager team Brianās long game is to pick up last bits of MAUās from people who will chase this FOMO stuff. In a game that is on its second run I donāt see it that big a deal.
It will probably get a few people who missed it from the current retail and may try for it here.
Absolutely no one who needs the immortal or undying title is letting someone without good gear into their group. Youāre too optimistic.
I am mostly disappointed that you waited three months to communicate this. Some of we the players care a lot (perhaps too much) about things like these mounts, and may have significantly changed how we played because we thought it was a limited window to get them. I.E., taken time off to make a raid, or focused on this instead of other things we otherwise would have wanted to focus on and just doing it later when itās much more trivial.
Iāll add my voice to those suggestion that Immortal/Undying be restricted to 226 gear like Herald of the Titans. The item level restriction is what made people value doing the Herald achievement even multiple expansions down the road. Adding this item level restriction would make the Immortal/Undying achievement a relevant challenge throughout Wrath Classic, even if itās easier with full Ulduar 10 normal gear (if you can only restrict gear by item level and not phase).
Please consider doing this change. It is in line with your Design Pillar: Approachable and Familiar, in that it leaves the challenge intact for longer (Approachable) while still maintaining it as somewhat of a challenge (Familiar). When we have twice the health pool and four times the damage, it will be more than approachable it will be trivial. In addition, leaving the mounts in without a gear restriction hurts the Design Pillar: Protect and Nurture Social Experiences, because the people who may have gone as far as to reorganize their life a little to make sure they could get this, together, are learning after the fact that it was pointless and they could have taken a different approach. By adding the gear restriction it leaves that Social Experience they had intact and provides the opportunity for more people to do the same.
Thank you.
Super Casual guilds have the meta mounts ? Sulfuras has a 10-15 000 player population
probably less than 5% have any of the metadrakes, immortal/undying is a bit more common ,the plagued proto drake is even less common because lets face it, nightfall is the hardest fight in the achievement especially if you are not a Huge pumper or a Meta Class.
while some guilds clear the whole content in less than 2 hours, some guilds are having issues to clear just naxx in 1 night. Thereās a boatload of grey parsers that are no way near getting any of these, even the glory of the hero drake wich is much easier with these super nerfed heroics is extremely rare (most that have it, also have at least 1 metadrake)
Youāre a phase 1 fury warrior.
Youāre being carried by your guild, stop pretending like you earned anything.
I find it extremely blizzard to divide the community rather then add an ilvl cap to the achievements. Why add a change thatās a happy medium when you can go to the extreme and announce it months too late?
You want to add an ilvl requirement to The Immortal achievement?
An achievement you could get throughout wotlk, from 3.0.1 until 3.3.5, the very last day of the expansion?
Why?
because then the elitists like me wouldnāt be upset, everyone who grinded for the achieves wouldnāt have their time wasted, the one difficult achieve (3D) which is an entirely DPS check only fight isnāt completely irrelevant, and the casuals like you would stop replying to me as if your opinion on my opinion matters to me.
Keep immortal in, disable the drake meta for people who didnāt earn immortal before Ulduar. If you got it before but are missing x y z, let em complete it. Ezclap
im all for that idea too so im sure booth is going to hit you with a rhetorical question about it within the next few minutes.
keeping it in removes a gold sink in MoP classic, gotta have things on the BMAH
Thats a flex i can get behind
Good! Ulduar didnt come out until Waaaaaaay later originally. People should get more time to get these things.
wow you got me! Iām a rogue in a normal HC guild parses well and isnāt in a guild thats abusing with 8+ dks?
Thanks for this extremely constructive comment, this is just what this post needs.
apparently doing 1.5k dps less than you since im on the wrong side of class balance means getting carried. iāll keep this in mind for TOC/ICC i guess.
If only my class was so underpowered 15 years ago they had to be buffed every single phase to do half decent dps and not nerfed every single patch to not end up completely broken by the time icc was out.
we have 1 uhdk
im a shadow priest, i literally have a hybrid tax.
im be slamming warriors until they get shadowmourne 6-8 weeks after hlk goes down at 0% buff
