Naxxramas Achievement Rewards to Remain Available Throughout Wrath Classic

wierd the logs you have show 4 warlocks and 3 unholy dks ,

While this is true, 15 years ago they only got 6 extra weeks ( to this day) and player dps was roughly 40 % lower than what the average raider can push today due to 3.3.5 talents.

hey booth mind informing me why you guys have a mage abusing the spell steal bug in your parses? Strange your logs also have 3 warlocks and 3 dks in your other log?

Weird that your 99 parses are due to bug abuse, buff stacking, and stacking soon to be nerfed snapshotters, and then acting like it was your doing that got you the 99 parses.

idk what you’re even talking about?
Spellstealing buffs from mobs isnt a bug
Also, doing splits atm.

Any big achievers from the REAL naxx without meta slaves?

That’s so trash. I don’t even have the achievements yet because some dummy always managed to screw up, but for me personally, this sucks. Sure, it gives me time to try and get the achievements, but it takes away from the achievement and reward when players are given extra time to get the achievement. At that point, why not give us all codes for the Big Blizzard Bear mount? What do you mean it was exclusive at blizzcon 2008? Well, the mounts and achievements are also exclusive to a timeframe.

but who cares? why do things have to be limited, or exclusive? So a small percentage of players can feel superior to everyone else? Its not free. Players still have to earn the achievement. and saying “well people will just buy it later” doesn’t mean much. people have been buying it the entire time.

I’ve been working really hard to get Glory of the Raider 25. Im only missing Immortal. But every week, no matter what raid I’m in, someone dies, and its never me. I cant have the mount because another player sucks every week? My bad luck means i cant have it?

totally not a bug. thats why they blacklisted those buffs so they get purged on entering a raid last month because it was intentional duh lol.

I still have no clue what you’re talking about.
Do i look like a mage?

you look like a guy bragging about high parses while earning those parses because of exploiters. I think you’re just surprised I saw it so quickly

Why even bother getting the achievements if they are not actual achievement, if there are no bragging rights connected to it, why do we have esthetics like tabards, why does retail have transmog? Why do people park above the fountain or at krasus landing with transmog kits? Recognition and pride in what they achieved.
At this point Put in 310 flying so I can actually use the mount I would rather instead of being forced to ride an ugly proto drake because “they are better”. If it ain’t about the rarity there’s no point using it

Please provide a link.

Do you brag about your ‘level 10’ achievement, just checking if you realise what you’re saying.

hard agree. last time i checked Loremaster and Catch 25 fish were still both worth 10 points

No obviously. But my salty. Insane and 3 glory protos actually feel like a real achievement because I am one of the few that managed it. I would be surprised if there was more than 1% of players that actually have any of these. If everyone can get those stupid ugly mount at whatever point in game. Give me 310% flying on all my mounts and I’ll be able to use my nether drake, helicopter, twillight drake or dragonhawk and actually be somehow “unique” or like how i actually look

Thats a Cata Change, see you in 2024 big guy.

yeah, they are personal achievements for YOU. They don’t exist so you can lord it over other players, as if you are some how superior. other people getting Immortal, doesn’t diminish yours. There’s no re-sale value on these things. they arent NFT’s. Also, literally no one cares you have Salty and Insane. Nobody is standing in awe of you as you pass in the street. At best they’ll go “oh thats cool” and forget about it a moment later.

I have over 6k achievement points (you have 9 whole more than me. OooOoo), I had 75 pets before Wrath dropped and now have every farmable pet in the game , I was probably the first person on my server to get Merrymaker, I got Bloodsail Admiral in classic as a HOLY Priest by myself, I have every tier and mid-tier set in my bank from classic, I made every prismatic scale pattern as a priest, i got a full ironweave set because i did the 0.5 tier quest chain when it was relevant, i know every cooking recipe in the game (except thistle tea) and the have the Chefs Hat, etc, etc

We can flex on each other all day. It doesnt matter. Let people have fun and get mounts. Other people having fun doesnt make your fun less fun

That’s a nice sentiment and all but not really true. It’s a social competitive game and even though it’s a bit crass being able to lord it over people kind of drives the game. It motivates people to do things.

If achievements weren’t meant to be used like that then why give people titles that are visible to other players?

Thing is - it’s a game. We’re allowed to give into our baser instincts in play because there’s no real stake in it. It’s for fun. If we’re getting offended at mechanics designed to encourage boasting then we’re getting too into it. It’s for play - not career or relationship or child raising. Fun. You can be a little naughty and the game wants you to be. Get a title and lord it over someone, be a little petty and have a bit of competition - for fun ;p

They give out titles, for, hear me out… “Fun”. The novelty of it

Seems weird that people call these titles/mounts as participation trophies like it’s a bad thing. In my mind, that’s literally what they always were. These are rewards for being involved in the game at the right time. Why is that such a bad thing? We do realize that literally everyone who participates in the Olympics gets a participation medal right?

That said, the Olympics do have medals to designate skill. And so does WoW. You want to impress someone and show off? Strive for something actually remarkable like server first kills or server first professions that come with a feat of strength and/or title. That shows you were first, not just that you participated. But I’m guessing the overwhelming majority of people who want to play gatekeeper don’t have the skill for that, so they need something else to feel smugly superior.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m more impressed with the insanity title than the immortal title. I’m more impressed by someone with the turtle mount than the 310% protodrakes. Those rewards reveal real effort (or a ton of luck) and there’s no gatekeeping bravado needed.
