Sometimes it realistically isn’t depending on the situation.
It seems unnecessarily arrogant to assume otherwise (excuses) but you do you.
Glad that you have the luxury of making decisions that make the gaming experience you want possible. Many don’t.
I raided extensively through T7, and some in Icecrown during the original. You don’t need gear in Naxx. If folks don’t stand in poop and mind the mechanics, they’re fine.
You do know Naxx got a buff this time around right? And it’s in its pre nerfed state as far as enemy damage and midigation goes.
If you think you’re going in with a raid full of players in greens and clearing it, you’re delusional.
Can’t get bis if you can’t log in…
Way more guilds cleared Naxx in Classic than in Vanilla, which means it’ll be more familiar for those who’ve been playing for the past 3 years. Folks were clearing Kara at 68 in quest gear… Naxx won’t be hard.
True, but at that point if they have SUCH limited time to play then they knew going into it that they were not going to be hitting end game quickly, and it’s not the type of player that I was directing my statement at.
The OP is saying “Get ready for the gear gatekeepers” for week 1 naxx runs. To that I replied with what I did.
If you’re trying to run Naxx the 1st week it’s open, you’re trying to push content. If you’re trying to push content and run naxx in week 1, you should not feel entitled to a raid spot if you’ve not put in effort to get your gear.
Casuals can be casual and there is nothing wrong with that. But if you’re trying NOT to be a casual, and showing up in casual gear… then yeah, I see no issue with taking somebody else who put in the time and will better help the raid.
im not going to argue with you. i’ll let you go down in the dirty face first , then we can talk
I never said it would be hard, but there is a gear limit that you will need to clear it. Many bosses have enrage timers unlike kara and have multiple dps checks.
Will it be an easy clear for a group in Full pre raid BiS? Yes 100% for sure. But again, if you think guilds are going to go in with full greens and clearing it, it’s just not going to happen.
Also the guild that cleared Kara at level 68 “APES”, did it in full Naxx gear and blues. Not full greens. The videos are still on youtube and twitch my guy. Don’t make stuff up to try and prove a point lol
The only time I’d raid is if my guild or friends say “hey, we have an extra spot… wanna come?” and I actually have the time to do so. It happened twice in TBC Classic.
Some BiS pieces are like 3000g and some include the Kirin Tor ring.
I don’t think anybody needs to spend 11000G just to raid Naxx.
When did I ever say you needed 100% pre raid BiS? I specifically said minus 1 or 2 items, you even quoted me saying that. And those items can be the Kirin Tor ring or a crafted item.
I’m not arguing with you. I’m saying I am 100% pre raid BiS. Literally as good as you can possibly get. The numbers you’re posting are impossible to achieve with the current gear in the game, at least for a pally tank.
If you think you can do better, then please educate me. I’ll gladly go farm the better gear.
Is that what you’re looking for?
Way to take out the rest of my reply thus removing the context for the reason that was said.
i have a guild so…
You cherry pick gear. I’ll cherry pick your post.
Cherry picking gear is kind of the point of min maxing and building a pre raid BiS set no?
Cherry picking a statment out of context is not the same.
You take this way too seriously.
Then again, I’m noticing your guild name. I’ll watch my behind.
