Naxx Consumes, ~1200 gold a week

None of this makes your presumed vanilla server populations anything more than pure speculation. You’re baseline assuming that every sub is a unique and long term vanilla player.

On Grobbulus you can run around plaguelands for two hours and get zero plaguebloom because fly hacking bots under the world camp every spawn.

Oh, that’s kinda like:

Vanilla servers didn’t have 2.5k total players. I’ve never seen anyone else make such a ludicrous claim. Anyhow, I’ll just keep correcting you, ciao.

Your information needs to verified to call it a correction. I know you’re my biggest fan, and you actively seek me out on this forum to mass flag me for nothing, but it’s getting old.

I know that. Clefairy is claiming that servers had a total population of 2,500 players. Not concurrent, total.

He thinks servers should only have 500 total players online at PEAK hours (both factions combined.)

I know you never played vanilla, but a 2k+ server pop was huge in 2004. The 10k-12k we’re seeing in Classic in no way represents vanilla server sizes.

Wow, another thing that isn’t true:

The market will adjust. Higher prices will reduce demand. Not everyone will pay to stack every consume with 100% uptime. Gatherers will work around the clock because they can get rich, flooding the market. And as guilds get Naxx on farm, they will wipe less and use fewer and fewer consumes. The prices will come back down. They always do.

I’m sorry but what sort of fart sniffing silly person actually believes there’s players who actually spend that much per week on consumes who isn’t buying tons of gold?

eh. id say maybe 25%.

We have had an entire year to farm mats. If there not being enough consumes is a problem now maybe parse flexing was a waste?

You do if you want to parse. And despite what you do, most people are hyper-competitive.

Well then pay the consumable cost if you want to parse. But Blizzard doesn’t need to change the game because of someone’s ego project.

If you just want to do Naxxramas it’s totally unnecessary.

Exactly.

I’m just saying why people are using consumes on trash and ‘easy bosses’.

Me, I’m just glad I kept Herbalism.

It’s the first week, and only one guild on my server has cleared. People are using consumes to clear content they otherwise couldn’t, just like using world buffs. There will be drop off in prices for some consumes for sure, because the top guilds will need less and less consumes, and the lower tier guilds will give up.
Also, I wish I had only spent 1200g this week.

I think OP forgot about how many characters/accounts exist solely to gold farm, gold sell, bot, boost, spy and all kinds of other degenerate nonsense.

Definitely not even close to 99%

They need to make black lotus a proc. Dreamfoil prices are still going to be ridiculous. The lotus at like 150g each is insane on top of it. There’s fly hackers farming foil and plaguebloom everywhere.

If they really wanted to fix this blight they would also lower the amount of overall mats on flasks but increase lotus to like 5 per and make it a proc herb like in BC.

From what I hear everything is super EZ mode in classic, so why do you need consumes?
