i think, blizzard will bring Nathanos back to the horde, he will get an “Eye-Opener” event and cut the connection to sylvanas.

Shame he’s dying by Tyrandes hand once the pre patch event actually starts and they release the cinematic.

Certain players have spotted Nathanos Blightcaller in the Eastern Plaguelands. Nathanos is supposed to be the World Boss for the Death’s Rising Shadowlands Pre-Patch event.

Considering Nathanos currently has no World Quest to kill him, awards no loot on defeat, and triggers no cinematic when defeated, this is likely an oversight on Blizzard’s part and probably means he is not supposed to be available. Currently, the only reward available is the satisfaction of killing him.

EDIT (2:00pm PDT): Nathanos has been patched out and is no longer at the Marris Stead.

Doesn’t mean it’s been removed. It’s just not active yet.

if no worldquest and no loottable exist for him, how likely will be a cinema with nathanos or a…worldboss Nathanos?

He could have just accidentally appeared before Blizzard was ready for his stuff to go live.

but with no loottable? i mean, creating loottables are one of the first thing to do, after bossfight design.

It is clear he was never suppose to be in the game. I assume he has a loot table which will be active once the event is active.

I would guess the cinematic is tied to the quest and the quest isn’t active. Somehow the NPC was put out there and wasn’t connected to any loot table or quest. Probably just a bug.

Now this cinematic was never datamined right? or Was it?

Nathanos is supposed to be coming with the Death Rising event.
The zombie Event that has also not yet started because Blizzard doesn’t know when they want to release.

Both will happen probably a month before the new release.

Encrypted. Like the adbuction cinematic.

This. As jacked up as the SL situation is it wouldn’t surprise me that this was unintended.

It is unintended. The cinematic tied to his death is encrypted, it’s just tied to the Deaths Rising event.

It’s probably a bug with todays patch that put him in the the plaguelands earlier than planned

This makes me wonder if next Tuesday the patch is dropping with the zombie invasion.
