Why are the in game nameplates 3 times worse than they were last expansion? I never needed an add on until now to try and make them decent

I have been using Playnator after years of Plater. Plater is still a good addon but Playnator is just so easy to customize. Go to wago or your favorite streamers discord and download one to import and then customize it to your taste.

Yes they’re horrible. I didnt buy expansion on release or renew my sub until someone told me you could get them with the betterblizzplates addon.
Well, that was a lie lol. It just changes the size of the new ones to the same as the old ones 
I did find a preset in there i liked though and it made friendly nameplates class icons which is what’s important to me i guess
It’s hard to even tell what you’re targeting when there’s more than like 3 on the screen

Plater and Playnator will allow you to distinguish your target with a visual queue. Some people like the addons WeizPvP that allows you to put a big crosshair on the target as well.
There are also other addons other than nameplate addons that will help ID you target with some sort of mark. Take a look at WilduTools. EQOL might offer this as well. Both are extremely powerful addons that reduce the need for additional addons.
