Name your pets!

What really grinds my gears is when I see a hunter who has NOT named their pets. Even if they don’t plan to use them, they should at least acknowledge their existence by giving them a name. I name all my pets I tame (most based off foods) cause pets deserve to have names! You wouldn’t go to a pet shop and ask for a cute little puppy, but not even bother to give it a name cause you’re too lazy to care enough to give the puppy a name.

Do you hate that puppy THAT much? ;w;

I sassed a friend of a friend the other day because he didn’t name any of his pets - not a single one, and he has one of almost every pet family.

My friend told me later that it must’ve gotten to him and he must’ve felt bad, because he finally named his pet.

He named it James.

Totally agree. So many hunters must not love their pets. Glad to know I’m not alone in feeling this.

All my Hunters have an Echeyakee named ‘Kimba’. I was obsessed with old re-runs of ‘Kimba the White Lion’ when I was a child.

Other than him, I name my pets names from Tolkien or Latin names.

what if you name your hunter pets “cat” no matter what animal it is?

My hunter only uses a green ankylodon named Paco these days.

I’ve had no real attachment or pride in a hunter pet since my vanilla night elf hunter had Shy-Rotam. Back then only the horde could summon her and I found one kind soul who kept the quest chain on an alt just for alliance hunters who wanted to tame.

Naming your pet thats already fullgrown is weird, it went its entire life being called its name Blizzard gave it and then you come in renaming it. Why do you hate your pets so much?

Acceptable only as long as you you name all the cats dog.

I wonder how mad would you be if I told you that when I was young, we had a cat named ‘The’.
His full name was ‘The Cat’.

Duncan. Everyone of my Hunter pets are named Duncan. It’s a Dune thing.

I sometimes wish that pet icons were customizable because I have lots of them and they all have the same name.

I named my hunter’s pet Dwight after the character from The Office.

I’m looking forward to rare pets keeping their names after you tame them. That’s what I do anyways but some look weird since I’m not allowed to use an apotheosis.

Edit: wow, some of the words my iPad changes for me make me lol. I was typing apostrophe.

Oh my gosh yes! It just bothers me so much when I see a Wolf named “Wolf” like seriously, give your pet a name already! :disappointed:

My hunters Tortoise is named Bob.
