Alterac Valley Weekend!
Archeology. It was kind of a nice diversion.
Also a style of play where it was not just a rush to max level and you enjoyed going through the expansion and doing all the stories. Now days it is just rush to max level as fast as you can.
Immersion and discovery.
Taking their time and releasing products when they were ready.
The general quality of, well, gestures to everything (all their products lol)
I’ll never forget- TBC was delayed over the holidays for a release in January, because it wasn’t ready yet.
They haven’t done anything like that, since.
TWW had early access, yet the game is still a bug-ridden mess.
Seemingly, Blizzard doesn’t care about a lot of stuff involving their games anymore, they expect people to just buy anyway, and can’t really blame them either, it sucks.
I think they used to do World of Warcraft really well.
That was never good. It was good in vanilla and TBC because it was hardly ever talked about and mostly used as backdrop.
Making games because they’re passionate about it, not because they just want more $$$.
You just say any ole thing. What was BFA about?
Terrible story telling is what it was when it came to horde vs alliance stuff. When it was just about the zones without the war nonsense, they told good stories.
It is telling that the biggest thing people can call Iconic in BFA is the Drust. Not the war, not sylvanas or any of the tree burning nonsense, it was the drust that people loved.
Yea whatever, I don’t even read your post anymore. Have a nice day.
Lol okay then, why even ask in the first place.
Mists of Pandaria Warlock as a whole.
Have group will travel.
I loved that spell.
Class quests.
For the life of my I do no understand why they removed the badge/JP/VP system. It was bad luck protection, limited targeted gearing, and a slow but consistent gear path for non-raiders, all at once.
And then they took it away and replaced it with the objectively worse, RNG filled weekly chest/vault model. Just… why? What problem do they think that solved?
Yep. And it was usually enough of a different experience in the same Zone(s) to be worth playing through twice.
You can have separate faction identities without having to constantly be at war with each other, and it is sad that nobody seems to understand this.
It’s either “RAWR WAR IN WARCRAFT” or “waaah why is it happy friends time something something Disney” when it does not have to be either.
Because after two expansions Alliance die hards would feel like they were being sidelined if the Horde had more than Baine connected to the campaign.
If Horde was in the spotlight the cries would be heard from the Isle of Dorn all the way to the BBQ in Teldrassil.
I really miss Legion Artifacts. I liked farming the skins and upgrades. It felt rewarding. I also miss Mythic Dungeons just being dungeons not the esport.
This is coming back. You’ll be able to select your pet’s role again.
