I made a mistake in my character name. I contacted Blizzard Support and was denied such fix saying there’s no possible option. How come we can boost a character in this game but when it comes to fixing your name mistake it’s impossible? I feel like I’m no value and to be honest. I’m not max level on said character but I’m on my way, being close to 52 right now. Leveling again isn’t my strong suit so creating a new character to adjust the name is out of question here but what would justify someone who barely interacted with people so far other than buffing them and helping them here and there for a quest refuse such a simple fix? It’s not like I’m trying to reset my whole profile after being toxic… Anyway, just venting out a bit and hoping to have this issue reach a higher level as in game service isn’t showing much understanding other than telling me to suggest having that option available on the forum but to be honest I’m kinda against it at max level as name is part of your character identity and right now… that’s something I’m being denied.

Did you spell rogue wrong? I’m really curious how you made a naming mistake but didn’t realize it until you were too high level. It’s on a boosted character?
You can get a refund on a boosted character if it hasn’t been that long.
No it’s on my paladin. He’s almost 52 so it wasn’t boosted. I didn’t notice the mistake until someone I know noticed it in bnet as my custom UI hides my character name for me since it’s not an info I need. At this point I guess waiting for the boost in wotlk will be my only way to fix the name without having to level again.

Yea I feel you. Keeping the name was important for you too while changing your hair. Basic cosmetic and name is such a primordial thing. Such a shame you can’t correct these in 2021 and as long as the character boost is in game (and to be honest it’s okay as long as it makes the community grow) I don’t understand how such basic things as correcting name issues and character appearance isn’t a thing available.
