For anyone else who might stumble upon this post in a Google search:
Purchases may or may not happen instantly. This is due to a number of factors involved such as your bank/payment provider (actual bank or PayPal), the time of day, and even the day of the week.
While most purchases do go through instantly, there could be delays. This is due to the pre-authorization that merchants send to the bank to check for available funds for that particular transaction.
That pre-authorization could be used by the merchant to deliver what was purchased, but it depends on the result received from the bank.
The purchase isn’t considered “complete” until the merchant settles with the bank. At that time, you’ll see the purchase move from Pending to Posted or Complete when you look at your bank account online.

The problem I had was that the icon disappeared, and still no name change.
